Why when they didnt know the answer to "What is Chandler Bings job" didnt they just guess an answer?

On C&Js turn they got an answer wrong and Ross just moved onto the next question.

I have thought the same thing for MANY years. Or why couldn’t they just say pass?

It baffles me why they just kept trying to work it out...

They could have just done "answer as many as you can round ends when you get one wrong".

Oh I have always thought this too. The boys got some wrong and carried on when it was their turn, the girls could have done the same! Artistic license.

They had already got the TV times question wrong (ms chanandler bong) so they had to get this right or lose the quiz, hence the dramatics

woman the chanandler bong question was in the main body of the quiz. If theyd got that one right there would have been no lightening round. They only did that laat round because it was a tie.

I thought it was because they were flustered too, as it should have been an easy question and so they wasted time.

Un-fun answer... because Chandler's job was a running gag in the show.

No one knows ewes what chandler did. And probably never cared enough to find out.
So it was funny that his job title cost them their beautiful apartment!

But the logical answer was they took so long deciding they ran out of time.

To me, it seemed as though they didn't want to hurt Chandler's feelings that they didn't know what he did for work. That was a recurring theme throughout the series.

Monica says Chandler's job title in the episode when he takes on the advertising internship. I can't remember what it is though!
