My children don't believe me that some schools have banned cheese, eggs, ham, white bread etc. DS1 is 15 and still butthurt about the dinner lady who took away his single square of chocolate on his 6th birthday.

So are there such draconian rules out there? Or is it urban myth?

My children's schools do promote healthy eating but they are not very draconian.

I have never had any problems but i do think the lunches I do are very healthy.

DS school is very relaxed within reason. Special school for autistic children so if there are foods some children don't eat due to sensory issues they are just given what they can eat, can't afford to be fussy as long as they are eating. My ds eats a nice variety of healthy foods so we have never had any problems. He does have the same crisps every day and they have to be the same brand/flavour. He will accept changes in the other foods (different fruit, bread, sandwich filling, cheese or yogurt) but he gets upset if he can't find his crisps!

I do put a treat into DD's lunchbox on a friday sometimes, this morning was a small cupcake with a stunt orange as a decoy Wink
