DH says it’s fine to put a slice of left over pizza in DD2’s packed lunch tomorrow. I say it’s disgusting. WIBU?

Depends if it was greasy pizza, surely?

Greasy pizza needs to be eaten hot or the cold grease would make it inedible.

But non greasy pizza would be more or less the same as a sandwich - though I'm not quite sure about the hard melted cheese.

But YABU if she likes it, I guess.

saltandvinegarcrisps1 · 30/01/2018 20:52

Delicious when drenched in salad cream

PaddlingShoes · 30/01/2018 20:53

It's fine.

twotired · 30/01/2018 20:53

I love cold pizza. Siding with your DH on this one!

Trialsmum · 30/01/2018 20:53

Cold pizza is THE best food, fact!

Laineymc7 · 30/01/2018 20:54

I’d love it. If you daughter likes it and would be happy then it’s fine.

silkpyjamasallday · 30/01/2018 20:57

YANBU cold pizza is revolting. But it isn't you having to eat it so let the dc have it if they want.

UgandanKnuckles · 30/01/2018 20:58

OP you're missing out. Cold pizza is the breakfast of champions and I could drink that Domino's garlic and herb dip.

Heliophilous · 30/01/2018 20:58

I give DD cold pizza for her packed lunch (if I haven't scoffed it myself before it makes it to the lunchbox). It is fine. Bread, cheese, tomatoes, olive oil, maybe a few toppings. What's wrong with that as a lunch?

Chewbecca · 30/01/2018 20:59

Yum, lucky DD!

QueenDramaLlama · 30/01/2018 20:59

Put 2 together and you have a cheese sandwich! Voila.

PinkHeart5914 · 30/01/2018 21:01

It’s no different to a sandwich really, as long as dd likes it why not?

OracleOfDelphinium · 30/01/2018 21:01

Fine.

InfiniteCurve · 30/01/2018 21:01

Cold pizza is lovely - and it's just bread, cheese and bits! What's the problem?
(Now I'm craving cold pizza Grin)

ELR · 30/01/2018 21:02

Both my kids took cold pizza for lunch yesterday, when they got home they declared it best lunch ever!

Wafflenose · 30/01/2018 21:02

YABU! My kids sometimes have cold pizza in their packed lunch if there's some left over. I usually give them cucumber and cherry tomatoes on the side, and put in yogurt, fruit and a cake or cereal bar. Not too bad IMO.

Livelounge · 30/01/2018 21:06

Ohhhh no! It's two for Tuesday and I'm fantasising over hot pizza tonight and cold pizza for tomorrow now.

YABU OP to put such thoughts in my head!

mumsiedarlingrevolta · 30/01/2018 21:08

Cold pizza nectar of the Gods.

We often have for breakfast Grin

halfwitpicker · 30/01/2018 21:09

It's fine of course.

Unicorn81 · 30/01/2018 21:10

Probably depends whats on it as some dried veg is minging next day (like sweetcorn). I dont mind eating cold pizza at all but one important thing is to make sure there is some dominos dip to go with

TefalTester123 · 30/01/2018 21:11

Cold pizza is delicious. I had one in the freezer ready for taking to hospital when I had my firstborn. By the time they were born pizza had defrosted and I was ravenous!

Theweasleytwins · 30/01/2018 21:21

Oh cold dominos double decadence pizza😍😍😍😍

WorraLiberty · 30/01/2018 21:27

Mumsnet has made me realise how odd I am about pizza Blush

It's one of my favourite foods but not only do I detest it straight from the fridge, I often have to wrap half the slices in foil to keep the cheese warm and melty, while I'm eating the other slices Blush

I don't much like it when the cheese starts to cool down and 'set'.

UgandanKnuckles · 30/01/2018 21:28

@theweasleytwins

Double decadence is absolutely better cold!!

iveburntthetoast · 30/01/2018 21:33

DD2 has asked for the pizza and garlic dip—she’s 8 and doesn’t give a stuff what her friends think! It’s not greasy, though. We have a hard time getting her to eat her packed lunch so I should be glad, I guess.

For me, it’s the idea of cooked cheese then going cold. But I don’t like eating cooked food that’s cold—so I don’t like cold chicken or rice or pasta or potatoes....so maybe I’m the fussy one Blush
