KatyMac The entire soundtrack is on Spotify for free Smile

KatyMac · 10/02/2018 18:31

Dont you pay for spotify?

Anyway I prefer to pay for the intellectual property I use/own

Rhodiolia · 10/02/2018 18:32

Same here! I have been listening to it constantly on Amazon music since I saw the fil at Christmas.

WhatToDoAboutThis2017 · 10/02/2018 18:57

Dont you pay for spotify?

You only pay for Spotify premium; regular Spotify is free.

Anyway I prefer to pay for the intellectual property I use/own

There’s no need to be a dick and try and take some sort of musical moral high ground Hmm They put it on Spotify themselves; it’s not stolen or illegal.

KatyMac · 10/02/2018 19:10

Plus spotify won't work in the car

Seriously though, if you've had your own intellectual property stolen/used without permission or acknowledgement it tends to be something you fixate on

WhatToDoAboutThis2017 · 10/02/2018 19:57

Depends on your car; I use it in mine via my phone.

Right, but as I’ve already said, they put it on Spotify themselves.

It’s not stolen or illegal; anyone who doesn’t want their music on Spotify doesn’t put it on there, or if they later decide they want to remove it, they can do.

KatyMac · 10/02/2018 20:05

It's great your car uses spotify but mine doesn't so I need a CD

So for the 2 or 3 times I want to but music for myself every 5 yrs or so I buy CDs it means I can use that music for other things if I want too

Back in the 80s when we taped the top 40 every week I didn't do that either or watch knock of videos or dvds - I do watch Netflix but I still buy the odd film

WhatToDoAboutThis2017 · 10/02/2018 20:09

Fair enough. I was only trying to be helpful with my initial suggestion and didn’t appreciate the insinuation it was ripping people off when that’s not even close to being true.

SunnySeaShell · 21/02/2018 12:23

I'm going tonight, I'm excited!!

Sallystyle · 21/02/2018 12:24

I am obsessed too.

I am going to the sing a long viewing at the cinema on Saturday.

SunnySeaShell · 21/02/2018 22:52

Oh it was AMAZING!! I loved it!

FreeNiki · 21/02/2018 23:54

Seriously?

I came close to walking out if they burst into another song that sounded just the same as all the rest.

Jenny Lind, the most amazing opera singer who can't actually sing an opera song, just x factor quality pop.

darkriver198868 · 21/02/2018 23:57

From Now On is my favorite song at the moment. Love it.

kmc1111 · 22/02/2018 03:53

Thank you! What even was that? Did they think audiences couldn’t sit through 3 minutes of opera? Why even bother including all the fuss over Lind and her incredible voice if you’re just going to have the film version sing a bland, not especially difficult ballad.

It also bugged me that for some reason they decided to make it extremely clear that her ‘concert’ only involved her singing that single song. All they needed was a cut to show that there was a full concert we didn’t see, but nope, apparently the filmmakers wanted us to think Lind toured the country singing one song.

NightCzar · 22/02/2018 08:14

Yes I loved it, but the Jenny Lind bit was odd. And why not find an actress who could sing rather than Rebecca Ferguson miming?

SaucyJack · 22/02/2018 08:20

I've seen it, and I'm still not aware that Hugh Jackman can sing....

Zac Efron is a much stronger singer.

Notagainmun · 22/02/2018 08:27

I saw the film two weeks ago and downloaded the soundtrack the next day! I power walk listening to it most evenings. I went to see it again yesterday and enjoyed it even more as I knew the words to all the songs.

SunnySeaShell · 22/02/2018 17:49

Yes seriously! I loved it! Apart from the Jenny Lind

Hourglasswinter · 24/02/2018 16:51

I loved loved it including Never Enough which actually made my eyes fill upm i thought it was a really powerful vocal (I know it wasn't Rebecca ferguson singing it. She looked breathtaking in that scene.

I just can't get the soundtrack out of my head and off my Echo!
