There has been an alarm going on in my street for 40 minutes...

It’s not only flashing which is lighting up our room all around the curtain edges, but it’s really loud. I said to DH that an alarm is exactly that, and shouldn’t neighbours do something? There’s a reason it’s disruptive.

He said no, it’s clearly just a wrong code or similar. He would never dream of reporting someone’s alarm going off.

Does anyone??

Erm aren't you a neighbour?!

Yes report, better to be safe.

perhapstomorrow · 29/01/2018 00:55

I'd call 101. They normally send someone around to check it out.

halfwitpicker · 29/01/2018 01:18

Oh god make the call.

LondonLassInTheCountry · 29/01/2018 01:36

Isnt that part of the point of an alarm.

To alert neighbours, in the HOPE someone will call!

ScouseQueen · 29/01/2018 01:48

This is why they're now pointless. No one takes any notice except to be personally irritated by the noise.

TenancyTroublesAgain · 29/01/2018 02:01

@CherryChasingDotMuncher

That was exactly what OP was saying... that they ARE a neighbour and should they do something!?

BoeandBall · 29/01/2018 02:04

There's one that's been going off where I live too! At the same time as yours...I think we live in the same town Grin
