Just my perception these days of when stuff gets reported to the police they tend to record it as a 'non-incident', which obviously works to keep the crime rate down.
For background I live in a estate that has a lot of issues with crime. This evening I found evidence that someone had been dealing morphine and tramadol tablets, and disposed of the evidence in our garden. So essentially I found strips and strips of discarded morphine / tramadol packaging (with the label of who it had been dispensed to ripped off) and all the tablets removed (presumably bagged to sell). I reported it online to the police who replied after about an hour just telling me to put the packaging in recycling!
It's not the first time I've reported something and the police have done nothing. Is it just lack of resources, lack of interest, or is it just a way to keep the crime figures down?
