I’ve recently moved towns & have had to find a new hairdresser ( I hate having to entrust my hair to a stranger).

She did an ok job but my previous hairdressers did a fabulous job. Then she charged me £88 . I’m sure I have been paying £65.

Is this the going rate now ? I am in the South East as was my previous house.

Paid £90 for half head of foils and cut and finish. Also in SE

Hair wash, dry and style, haircut and highlights costs me £70.

I'm in the Midlands though, and go to my local village hairdressers so that may be particularly cheap.

MorningCuppa · 28/01/2018 15:01

I am in the south east and pay £46 for half a head of foils. That's without a cut and blow dry.

tillytrotter1 · 28/01/2018 15:02

About £55 for full foils, Norfolk.

I thought from the title (and it not being posted in such an active topic as S&B) that this was going to be about fencing 🤺

Phillipa12 · 28/01/2018 15:05

Just had a cut and blow dry with a half head of foils on Thursday and it cost £65. Im in the south west.

Ihatesnowandskiing · 28/01/2018 15:05

Thanks - £88 wasn’t even with a blow dry . I left with wet hair !

Half head of highlights are between £50-£80 at my salon depending on the level of the hairdresser. However all colour appointments must also include a cut and finish which range between £40-£70 so for me it would cost £140

Rylanmakesmyheartsmile · 28/01/2018 15:11

That's NE Scotland by the way

TimbuktuTimbuktu · 28/01/2018 15:13

£20 for a full head in central London.

I let the students do it though!

ginplease8383 · 28/01/2018 15:13

I pay £65 in SW for a mobile hairdresser to cut and rough dry.

mumpoints · 28/01/2018 15:13

Yes, around £80 in London. Plus the trim, plus the blowdry. Comes to £120-£140 depending on length of hair and offers.

Am looking for a new place though because she cut my fringe so short last time I looked ridiculous.

spanieleyes · 28/01/2018 15:38

£72 for a half head, cut, blow dry and glass of wine!

BriennetheBeauty · 28/01/2018 16:12

I pay about £80-100 for half head foils, toner and Smartbond

TallulahBetty · 28/01/2018 16:15

£44 including wash cut and blow dry.

Ponyboycurtis · 28/01/2018 16:15

I pay £30 for a full head of foils and a cut in SW, however, it's a mobile hairdresser, I rinse and wash myself and she never dries/styles it. She is lovely though and I have no idea what a salon would charge me. I was quoted £100+ a few years ago as I have long hair and 2-3 colours. I would never be able to afford that. Ever.

I have a mobile hairdresser who charges £60 for half head, hair cut and blow dry. In past I’ve paid £65-85 in a salon without a hair cut so mobile hairdressers are the best choice for me now.
