To ask for recommendations of tv series for 12 year old DDs

Have your 12 year olds really enjoyed something recently? I find it a tricky age for TV. We have Netflix and Amazon Prime but find it really hard to find stuff for our twins.

What they have enjoyed in the past is:
Stranger Things
Brooklyn 99
Gilmour Girls
Big Bang Theory

Sadly they don't like the period dramas that I and their older sibling enjoy - like Pride and Prejudice, Victoria, not even Poldark.

It would be great to get stuck into a new series which suits us all again. So any suggestions?

he's 13 ^^

Friends?
Call the Midwife?

Although I think 12 is probably not the right age for making suggestions for things for them to watch. They'll get ideas from their friends.

Wow this is super. Someone early on the thread suggested Just Add Magic on Amazon and i though it was some sort of addition thing you put on Amazon, not a title!

And Dancergirl I would love it if she had got her own suggestions from friends but it seems she hasn't. Hence our situation and why I am on here.

I shall write a now huge list later on . Many thanks all.

I'm writing a list too! Is it wrong that it's for me as much as DN? She also loved Goggle Eyes which we watched with the elder DN when it first came out.

Minestheoneinthegreen · 28/01/2018 14:46

Mine who is also 12 loved Grey's anatomy in addition to others already mentioned.

My DDs (now 14 and 17) have an ongoing favourite programme on Netflix - Dance Academy. It's an Australian version of The Next Step - only it's actually rather good. My DS (16) has a soft spot for it, too. They must have watched the entire 3 series five or six times - and quote it at every relevant opportunity.

Be warned though - your DD will be traumatised by the end of series 2.

Matildatoldsuchdreadfullies · 28/01/2018 14:55

Oh, and they like Mako Mermaids, and H20 - I think there's a bit of an Australian theme going on here.

Gemlou1989 · 28/01/2018 15:02

My DD's love Once upon a time Smile
