To ask you to help me pick a birthday present for dh

Dh turns 30 next month, and I have absolutely no idea what to get him. I am 7 months pregnant and have a 1 year old so have some serious baby brain going on right now.

I'd like to get him something sentimental like a watch...but not a watch, as he has loads and it would be that special.

Does anyone have any ideas for similar type gifts they have got their male partners? Would be nice to incorporate something baby related as the last year has been pretty significant with the birth of our first daughter and arrival of our son a few weeks after his birthday.

Budget wise anything upto £300ish although could stretch to more for the right present.

Thanks!

What does he do for fun? What music does he like? Does he care about clothes at all? What is he passionate about?

Hippydippydoo · 28/01/2018 09:12

Not interested in fashion, clothes etc. Also not into sport.

His main interest is his business, not that exciting I know, but he is very driven and gets a real kick out of his achievements in that area.

He is into cars.

It wouldn’t be everyone’s cup of tea, but Mont Blanc do some lovely pens.

Personalised number plate?

How about a really nice leather work bag/briefcase/flight bag/courier bag/satchel - whatever style of bag he prefers, possibly monogrammed?

Apple Watch?

Driving experience ?

If he’s a music lover... out neighbours have a piece of artwork with is basically pictures of 100 album covers in 10x10 rows. It’s probably 3’x3’, so not huge, but it’s really eye-catching, and I am crazily envious of it.

Actually, I think an Apple Watch might be out of budget and only really useful if he had other Apple tech.

What about a driving experience and give him the present by presenting him with a keyring with a picture of your son? It is nice to do something out of the humdrum as just for him with all this baby stuff going on at home. I bought dh a sky dive for his 30th, he had it on his bucket list.
