I know people need to get work done but for goodness sake keep to a reasonable time. The last three mornings the builders have turned up to do neighbours roof at Half 5 in the bloody morning. How can they even see at that time?. How to they think that is reasonable?. Neighbours have gone away for a few days so they are ok it's the rest of us poor sods who live here.

The women across actually went out to them this morning screaming to shut up and they just stood and laughed at her
I think a phone call to the council is on the cards

I think they are allowed to start work from 6am to 6pm. Do they start working at 5:30? If so then you can complain to the local council.

Yep i was woken up by banging dead on half five, god knows what time they turned up.

Also it was still dark, surely that's a health and safety issues as they don't have any lights

Around here they aren't allowed to create building noise before 8am. Phone the council. They'll send someone to have a word.

Definitely call the council, if you know the woman who was laughed at get her to do the same.

There are no laws about it, just guidelines, 7 am - 7pm for commercial work.

I am bobbing across to see the women when I have take DS to school. Also my husband gets out of hospital today after a nasty infection so I don't want him to be disturbed at that time in the morning tomorrow.
