so basically, it's like literally the same as all the other popular modern sayings, using, like, loads of words, when literally like one word would make sense. If you know what I mean.

I hate the word twat even more though so the suggestion above really doesn't work for me It might be regional because thankfully no one I know uses that word.

It's only in the last couple of years that I've heard 'my bad' used outside of American films and TV shows. Now I use plenty of American slang but this phrase does sound clunky to my ears when said by a Brit. Along with Apprentice candidates 'stepping up to the plate' and people saying 'enough already';.

I also hate the misuse of 'like'.

Its clearly not for the age group represented here. DS13 says things like that and it sounds cute if faintly amusing. Its when grown ups start saying that makes me want to wallop them.

At my DDs school it's customary to say 'my bad' after farting. At least they own up....
