AIBU to just chuck fridge/freezer contents away?

Moving this morning!

I was planning on putting fridge and freezer food into a cool bag and take with us but scouring through the fridge has barely anything in it - think butter, cheese and some half empty jars- and the freezer has a couple of half full bags of chips, sausages and a couple of batch cooked meals.

I don’t like food wastage but I am thinking what’s the point of taking this with us....

Are you moving house? Of so yeah chuck it, you've enough to worry about already, half a pat of butter isn't going to break the bank.

If it’s as little as you say I wouldn’t bother. As long as you have a plan for what you’re eating today and tomorrow

I wouldn't chuck it (terrible waste) but also you might apreciate being able to have sausages and chips later on... would save having to go out for take away too. Sometimes popping out for food is the last thing you want to do having just moved.

Sling to in the car, then into your new fridge/ freezer

It isn't about the cost but what a waste. For the sake of flinging them into a freezer bag why wouldn't you take it.
