We knew we wanted another - very simple.

DC1 was 6, DC2 was 4.

Spartaca · 23/01/2018 16:06

A poorly performing mirena coil. 😂

But he is much loved. Others were 7 and 5.5, and they adore him. It's a juggle at times (he's 3 months now) but we wouldn't change it.

Mistybeaver · 23/01/2018 16:14

Mini pill and got noro virus. When our surprise arrived eldest was 3 yrs exactly and number 2 was 16 months. Was hard work but worked out well .

WhiteCaribou · 23/01/2018 16:17

Got broody when my friend was having her second (after a gap of 9 years), I dithered about whether to have another or not, was a bit careless about contraception and hey presto number 3! Number four now, I was being mega careful about contraception but he still came along. Got sterilised after that Grin

Steeley113 · 23/01/2018 16:21

We fell accidentally and the miscarried making us realise we must of actually wanted a 3rd.

Serin · 23/01/2018 16:21

Surprise baby!

DD was 3
DS was just 4 months when we found out Blush

I found 3 easier to cope with than just the one! Don't know if that was just because I was more experienced at the job by then.

Busybusybust · 23/01/2018 16:23

Just got broody. No. 4 was a bit of a surprise though. Best mistake I ever made!

sinceyouask · 23/01/2018 16:23

The Pill failed me, is the short answer.

When I found out I was pregnant, DH was not happy. He expected me to terminate. Everyone expected me to terminate. We were just coming out of an awful period where he'd been unemployed and I'd been a student so we'd been broke for ages. He'd just got a job, I'd just got a job with an employer not known for their supportiveness and ethical treatment of staff, the other dc were 8 and 5... But as soon as I knew ds3 was there, I wanted him, and that was that. It wasn't easy- I had to hide my pregnancy at work until I'd stacked up a series of really good monthly appraisals and would have some defence against being sacked, there was a lot of negativity from extended family, I was exhausted and in a sort of shock, etc- but it was meant to be. I wouldn't be without ds3 now.

what are all these 3rd child threads recently? Confused

Trinity66 · 23/01/2018 16:25

Nothing! I stopped at 2 Grin

thishouseisashittip · 23/01/2018 17:41

Just really wanted a third after years of saying no more (had really bad HG with second so said never again). Anyway 1st child was nearly 18 and second was 11.5 when I had the third. I wanted a 4th but hubby not keen 😔, three years later our eldest made us grandparents so we just borrow our granddaughter 🤣. It is strange having 2 young ones in the house together, not used to it with the age gap I had with my kids.

taskmaster · 23/01/2018 17:42

being pregnant.

123bananas · 23/01/2018 17:44

It was decided for me when I discovered I was 3 months pregnant.

22 months gap between dc2 and 3

2 yrs 8 months between dc1 and 2

2bluestars · 23/01/2018 17:44

Always felt someone was missing. Older ones are 9 and 7. Youngest is a couple of months and the best thing ever ❤

blinkineckmum · 23/01/2018 17:49

I always wanted 3+.
The others will be 4 and 2 when no3 is born.

britespark1 · 23/01/2018 17:50

The 3rd was a complete surprise, especially as he was our 3rd child in 3 consecutive years......
