I only eat half, and it's such a waste cooking a whole one.

Snap it

toolonglurking · 21/01/2018 21:22

Cook it and put half in the fridge for tomorrow?

Shinygoldbauble · 21/01/2018 21:22

Yes. I score a line across witb a sharp knife and then snap it in 2 with my hands.

PickettBowtruckles · 21/01/2018 21:22

Could you not cook it all and then freeze the cooked half you don't want? Then reheat the pre cooked bit when you fancy it?

ItsaPeppaPink · 21/01/2018 21:23

Yes, very possible, did it yesterday! Sharp knife, back in box, back in freezer!

StrawberryMummy90 · 21/01/2018 21:24

You only eat half? Shock

iveburntthetoast · 21/01/2018 21:24

Yes, I use a pizza slicer. Takes a bit of doing but then snaps in two nicely.

Sullabylullaby · 21/01/2018 21:24

Great, I'll try it. Just keep other half in freezer again.

Agree with PP that you should just snap it in two.

CantSleepClownsWillEatMe · 21/01/2018 21:24

Hold it either side and then bash the centre off the edge of the counter, always works for me.

Hohofortherobbers · 21/01/2018 21:27

I use my meat cleaver.

Sullabylullaby · 21/01/2018 21:38

I can see my hands getting mangled somehow in this process, but I'll give it a go anyway. Grin

A band saw

Me264 · 21/01/2018 21:40

Our freezer is in the garage next to DH's workbench. He is not unknown to cut frozen pizzas or sometimes large pies etc in half with his bandsaw Grin

X post Macsmurray!

HereWeGoRoundAgain · 21/01/2018 21:42

Bog standard kitchen scissors. It's not difficult.

Pearlsaringer · 21/01/2018 21:43

let it defrost a bit, will make it easier to cut.

Sullabylullaby · 22/01/2018 20:14

Don't want to let it defrost and refreeze.

InfiniteSheldon · 22/01/2018 20:15

I do it with kitchen scissors

Thingywhatsit · 22/01/2018 20:17

Kitchen scissors do the job! I often cut my pizzas before I cook them - much easier to do it that way round

zeezee3 · 22/01/2018 20:21

If you cannot do it (and we broke a carving knife doing this last year!) just pop it in the microwave for a minute to 'soften' it slightly. Then snap or cut it in half, and then pop half back in the freezer.

Works for us. Smile

zeezee3 · 22/01/2018 20:22

We defrost only slightly, and have done if often. It's always been fine! Smile

seafooodplatter · 22/01/2018 20:23

I stab it through the middle with a sharp knife until it eventually breaks in two.

CassandraCross · 22/01/2018 20:26

I do mine, score across with long bladed sharp knife, then put the blade in the score and apply pressure and it halves easily.

Talkingfrog · 22/01/2018 20:58

We cut it in half before we freeze if we remember. Alternatively use a bread knife and work in from the outside, then turn and start opposite. It usually snaps part way through. Alternatively have pizza for lunch next day.
