My neighbour is a dick, a grade A dick. He has taken to now somehow talking to my wireless speaker (a KS Miami cheapy thing).
He just said
“My name dog, my name back door, my name silly cow”.

What I’m playing isn’t loud. I’m playing the sound from my broken iPad which plays at about half the normal rate (I prop the iPad on my drawers but can’t hear it at all and then play the speaker next to me at a low volume - about half iPhone max volume and never after 20:30) it in my bedroom.

How do I prevent him from using it? The device just seems to be a case of turning it on and then syncing your device with no codes or anything.
Our internet is secure but this is really bugging me.

Well it was a gift so I’m not really moaning about that at all.
Is there no way to prevent him accessing it? In that case I’ll just keep it for holidays.

Why people do not plug earphones into their devices baffles me.

I'm confused. Is he sending you messages through your speaker about the fact your dog is wanting to come in?

He is the type of person who would see a device on Bluetooth and want to tinker with it rather than being annoyed by our noise and trying to teach me a lesson, IYSWIM?

Yes, they are remote headphones and I can use them for TV and other devices too. Never miss a trick on the tv if I need to go to the loo either mid program!

The headphones I have allow others to watch TV at their volume without headphones, but I prefer my own volume which is a little higher, and the clarity of sound/speech is amazing through them too.

But I am usually here on my own so I prefer being able to walk around, out to the garden, upstairs whatever, and do things while still tuned in!

That happened to me once. But trough my digital radio. Some dude said ' turn your music off, you are keeping my baby awake'. Needless to say, I turned it off and never used it again.
Nowadays, I listen to music how I want, mostly with headphones when the pub next door is doing karaoke.

I can’t find a manual online but there’s a KS website with an enquiry form....maybe email them and ask?

So your neighbour is connecting into your wireless speaker. How? Did you let him in and allow him to pair his device? If so, can't you reset the paired devices?

It's never occured to me but we have a bluetooth amplifier...I'm sure anyone within the vacinity could tune in. There is nothing on the amp to block users and it wasn't cheap

No idea about the technicalities, but if my neighbour was connecting to any of my devices I'd find a way to stop it!

The neighbour can 'pair' the device from next door. The pairing code is '0000' and can't be changed.

Turn it off for a few days then change the name of it to Sky7823 or TalkTalk260942. It'll look like a new neighbour's wireless connection then and he might ignore it.

Oh god, he sounds like a right pain. Some neighbours are horrid, sorry MakeMisogyny.

I'm not really up on all this as my main technology is my phone and I do have a dab/cd/bluetooth thing but haven't used it properly yet. I'd get a right fright if someone started speaking through it (luckily my neighbours are fine, I've been surprised at how quiet and well behaved the young ones are)

This has set my anxiety off a treat.
