Mine is useless round the house. Leaves the toilet seat up, does no housework/laundry whatsoever, doesn't put milk bottles in the bin when he's finished with them, doesn't clean the sink after washing up, he comes in late sometimes and starts talking to me when im asleep!

He has good points too obviously but sometimes he makes me want to tear my hair out!

OP posts:
Mitel · 20/01/2018 18:46

What do you do? Seems a bit one way. What's the opposite of a cock lodger?

ShotsFired · 20/01/2018 18:49

@mitel I have no doubt I am horrendous to put up with. I am highly strung and take the smallest thing to heart. And I'm stroppy and impatient and much lazier than him.

And that's just off the top of my head. I'm sure I could easily come up with more, as well as his list!

6demandingchildren · 20/01/2018 18:51

Having a shit just as we are ready to leave the house (he takes forever in the toilet)

BreakfastAtSquiffanys · 20/01/2018 18:56

He's crap at loading the dishwasher- puts forks in tines down so that they stick through the bottom of the cutlery basket and stop the bottom whirly arm whirling.
Puts extra large spoons upright in the basket so that they stop the upper whirly arm whirling
But he fills and empties it without any prompting so I let it go

Gudgyx · 20/01/2018 18:56

Needing a shit every time I’m in a bath
His mood swings, he’s a moody c*nt
How him and DD destroy the house everytime they are left alone in it
Ordering takeaways that he then sits and eats in front of me when he knows I’m on slimming world
He’s just ruined my new Christmas slippers by shoving his size 10 feet in them (I’m a 5)

I’ll be back, he annoys the shit out of me

TicketyBoo83 · 20/01/2018 19:03

He loves crisps. Which on its own is totally fine, no problem. But he shovels them into his mouth a handful at a time. It’s like he has to eat them as fast as possible or someone will take them away! The noise is horrendous!

AndNoneForGretchenWieners · 20/01/2018 19:03

Exaggerates. Watches crap on the telly - him and my dad both love documentaries on the war, customs officers, police interceptor type things and me and my mum despair!

I love him dearly though.

Emmastone123 · 20/01/2018 19:04
  • Moving really noisily and heavily in bed during the night. Just do it quietly like me!!!
  • Not wiping down the shower properly after each use. I've shown him a zillion times.
  • Not plumping the cushions on the sofa after use.
  • Peeing really loudly. Ok I know this is a man thing in general but why do they have to pee SO loud. They could kind of aim for side of pan, no? Surely there must be a way to make it not sound like bloody niagra falls every bloody time!!!!

Apart from that, he's great.

monkeysee100 · 20/01/2018 19:14

Ignores mess/has lower standards can't work out which
Quite lax with kitchen hygiene
Cannot fathom that two loads of washing will not cut it when trying to clear the washing back log.

But the biggest thing is that he doesn't learn. He'll do the same thing over and over- trample in mud, leaves empty loo rolls, toothpaste tubes but doesn't accept responsibility for them.

Today he locked himself out of the guided access on his phone but wouldn't entertain that he could've entered the wrong number!

However he is very generous, mostly hard working and loyal.

Fueledwithfairydustandgin · 20/01/2018 19:16

Doesn't put a damn thing away after himself. He literally leaves a trail of destruction in his wake. Puts dishes next to the dishwasher rather than in it Angry puts clothes near washing basket not in it Angry always forgets to take the recycling. Doesn't open his mail. Falls asleep on the sofa every night. Leaves my car messy if he uses it. Never ever ever cleans the shower after himself. Leaves stinky cycling stuff everywhere. Pesky trout that he is BUT the list of things he does for us is so so long I feel like the most spoiled looked after wife ever. In fact he is currently out getting tea after finishing of all my horses because I'm not well. Plus he is my lobster (a messy lobster, but I wouldn't share my tank with anyone else)

robertaplumkin · 20/01/2018 19:18

he hovers in vicinity staring when tv is on. and sometimes asks question about tv programme which he's got literally lot a shred of interest in. he doesn't even watch tv (often) but he cannot help but stare at the screen. i say "would you like to sit down?" and he says "no I'm xxxx in the garage/shed/drive" and then continues to stand and stare.

robertaplumkin · 20/01/2018 19:21

asks me questions and if he doesn't like my answer just asks me again a little bit later. now i just tell him he's not going to get a different answer. still does it though. twat. this is so therapeutic.

NoFuckingRoomOnMyBroom · 20/01/2018 19:26

Mine cooks a lovely meal but for some reason known only to him he has to use every fucking utensil in the kitchen.. . Hmm
Tbf though some days all he has to do is breathe & it annoys the fuck out of me Grin

Bambamber · 20/01/2018 19:26

Puts his toothbrush on the side and not the designated pot, without washing it properly. Leaves skanky, slimy toothpaste on the side.

Repeatedly says 'it's ok' any time anyone is anything less than happy. Literally says it multiple times in a minute.

Complains everytime I check he's packed everything we need in the bag for the day, but forgets at least 1 essential everytime I don't.

Eats loudly

Selective hearing

Complains an awful lot about anything and everything

We don't have them often, but everytime we have curly fries he practically incinerates them.

Oh and pasta always mysteriously doesn't cook quick enough for him, he says everytime it's not cooked as quickly as it's supposed to so we're always waiting for the pasta to finish. Cooks just fine for me though Hmm

He is a very kind and caring husband, but these things just seem to be so incredibly irritating. His list for me would probably be even longer Grin

skankingpiglet · 20/01/2018 19:35

Leaves kitchen cupboard doors and drawers open. Often when I'm cooking right next to them. Turn to move and CRACK.

Eats jelly beans (or similar) by the handful. What's the point when you can't taste the separate flavours?? Who wants coffee, pear, pineapple, chocolate and cola in one mouthful? If it was a careful choosing to create a new flavour I could understand it, but that is not what is happening. It annoys me far more than it (probably) should.

peachgreen · 20/01/2018 19:38

@skankingpiglet That jelly bean thing would drive me bonkers too! They're expensive!

Camomila · 20/01/2018 19:40

He's so loud/drama queenesque whenever he's startled/something gets spilled....think 'NOOOO!' at something spilled. He really needs to chill.

disneydatknee · 20/01/2018 19:40

My husband leaves toast crumbs all over the kitchen worktop which annoys me. He comes in the kitchen when I’m cooking the dinner/hiding from the kids and hovers about. I just want to be alone! He leaves dirty clothes all down his side of the bed. He eats the kids left overs so I can’t pick at them later...bastard Grin. He’s not too bad to live with really. My list is pretty trivial and boring!

bobstersmum · 20/01/2018 19:42

Op are we married to the same man??

Crispyturtle · 20/01/2018 19:47

Whistles like a fucking loon while he’s in the kitchen and generally making shit-loads of noise after I’ve got the toddler & baby in bed. His friends wife could apparently hoover round her sleeping children, so he can’t seem to accept that ours aren’t equally deep sleepers.

Pathologically messy.

Hovers over toddler at tea-time, encouraging her to eat her dinner & not be fussy, tries to be very ‘positive’ but won’t just leave her to get on with it. Makes us all really stressed.

He has many good points, but Jesus he can be so annoying at times.

Frankie2015 · 20/01/2018 19:54

Bites the fork when he eats! It literally makes me cringe. 😷

McDougal · 20/01/2018 19:54

Makes a bastard twatting 'puh' noise with every exhale when asleep. I'd rather have earth shattering snoring than fucking heinous 'puh'-ing.

YouCantBeSirius · 20/01/2018 19:58

He faffs. It drives me mad. It'll take him an hour to hand up a washing to dry because he finds other things that need doing at the same time.

Fucking Warhammer.

Teapotmadam · 20/01/2018 20:02

He doesn't listen and then complains about not knowing stuff that's happening.

Messy

If I'm tired, he is 10 x tiered, if I have a headache he has a brain tumour, you get the drift

loveablether · 20/01/2018 20:04

Snoring. Farting loudly (luckily not to smelly 😷) but other than that I love him to bits.
