Or do you carry on as normal?

Take the dogs for a walk first thing to get it out the way then get the heating on, make a tea or hot chocolate with a couple of biscuits or a cake and settle in with a book and a blanket Grin

HollyBollyBooBoo · 20/01/2018 14:46

Just spent 2 hours deep cleaning DDs bedroom, such satisfaction getting rid of a black bin bag full of plastic tat!

ScrumpyBetty · 20/01/2018 14:46

Yes exactly as Eliza said.
Have a long dog walk first thing, despite the rain, then sit by fire all cosy reading books and watching Netflix
Oh and we went out for coffee and cake after dog walk, cake always lifts my spirits

meredintofpandiculation · 20/01/2018 14:47

Lights, candles or bright flowers in particularly gloomy places in the house, particular ones where I'll walk past lots of times, lifting my spirits each time I do.

Bluelady · 20/01/2018 14:49

Zap the heating up, turn Netflix on, settle down with a cup of tea. Job done.

Dancetothebeat32 · 20/01/2018 14:49

Go to Lidl and get fresh pastries, antipasti and peach Bellini 😄

LadyMonicaBaddingham · 20/01/2018 14:52

Stick on the foot spa and watch crappy reality shows on the box.

Eliza9917 · 20/01/2018 14:53

@dancetothebeat32 Lidls doughnuts are the best I've ever tasted!!!

GreenSeededGrape · 20/01/2018 14:54

Plan my move home to Australia.

After 8 years I've had enough of the weather and told dh by the end of 2019 I want to be home.

Dancetothebeat32 · 20/01/2018 14:57

@Eliza9917 I bought 3 jam filled doughnuts, 2 vanilla crowns and 6 mini pastries 3 croissants and 3 raisin swirly things GrinGrinGrinwaiting for DS to have his afternoon nap so I don't have to share

OneOfTheGrundys · 20/01/2018 14:58

Embrace the grey and get cosy. I find it liberating actually. When the suns shining I feel pressure to be outside. When it’s like this I can just pootle about indoors and not feel guilty.

grumpy4squash · 20/01/2018 15:00

I'm about to sort out my underwear drawer so clearly I'm rocking it :)

OneOfTheGrundys · 20/01/2018 15:01

I’m also nursing a painful sore throat which has required me to mnet in bed while the DC play indoor football downstairs. I realise the folly of this situation but I absolutely cba to heave myself out of bed to remedy it. 😏

OneOfTheGrundys · 20/01/2018 15:02

grumpy you are living the dream.

All kondo I hope!!

JPduck · 20/01/2018 15:04

On this miserable day today ....,,Walk dog, baking with my 5yo and movie afternoon with blankets on the sofa!😊

Mupflup · 20/01/2018 15:04

Take mupdog for a nice rainy walk (weird little thing loves the rain), some cleaning, supermarket shop, now going to sort out some cupboards. I love grey rainy days, for some reason they make me really industrious! I might bake a cake later.

123bananas · 20/01/2018 15:09

Usually stick some tunes on and do cheesy dancing around the house whilst cleaning, but even that's not working today Sad

Might just retreat under the duvet, eat chocolate and make like an ostrich for a bit.

NeilPetark · 20/01/2018 15:10

The DC are playing trains and we’ll put the tv on soon and find a film I expect. Swimming this morning so they’re worn out already which is good.

SoozC · 20/01/2018 15:11

Walked to a local coffee shop (so I can say I exercised today) and enjoyed two delicious coffees and a good book before coming home and getting cosy under a blanket with my lunch. I'll be here for the rest of the day.

CaraBosse1 · 20/01/2018 15:28

Thanks for replies. DH and DD have gone shopping in town. I was going to do some Pilates for the first time ever but instead I'm sat contemplating the futility of existence!

Myself and dd(10) are in my bed with the dog. Me on my tablet and her on her Chromebook. Dh brought us up a tray of lunch, sandwich, crisps, bar and cup of tea for me and chicken pesto pasta for dd. Ds has just been dropped from a play date. I have loads to do but can't be arsed.

Ohyesiam · 20/01/2018 15:52

Light candles, always helps.
And oddly get out into the greyness.

falang · 20/01/2018 16:05

I love grey dreich rainy days. My favourite weather. I carry on as normal.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 20/01/2018 16:23

Went out this morning with DD, did some shopping (and bought flowers - reading this thread has reminded me so I put them in the vase. Peach coloured carnations)

DD put a shed load of make-up on me (she's 15.6) so later on I'll do a double cleanse/face pack/hair pack/bath. To recover from having my skin buffered by the force 9 gale!

Doing some washing and cooking baked potatoes Grin

catlovingdoctor · 20/01/2018 16:28

In bed watching telly with my cat and a cup of coffee.
