So I’ve recently been offered a position in a local school.
Pros: location, good career prospects & will enable me to start some accountancy study which will help my career long term.
Cons: shite pay & only 2 days a week so I lose my 30 hours funding plus the nursery/childminder want a minimum of 2 days. DD starts school in September so a short term issue.
If I get offered an additional pt role where I could potentially negotiate the hours across 3 days instead of 4 (have interviewed for 2 roles) will both employers know I have secondary employment. To make things more complicated I’m also run a small business occasionally doing consulting work in my old career but want to wind this down.
Does that make sense?
