I'm here publicly admitting (although with name change) that I'm 27, married and a mother of one and I like to sleep cuddling my jelly cat penguin my hubby bought me when I was 18 Blush

Anyone else a bit random?

If it thunders I like to imagine it's the T Rex from Jurassic Park walking around outside 🙈

Tinkofhousepan · 18/01/2018 22:34

I love this! I too leave a light on in my bedroom that I can reach from my bed so that the monsters don't get me when i turn off the main light. I make up weird little songs in my head when I am doing mundane tasks at work makes it way more fun and I sleep with my teddy from birth. OH threw her out of bed once... once!

Rachie1973 · 18/01/2018 22:36

I have a morbid fear of clusters of holes. The Sanex advert send me into a cold sweat, and lotus seed pods make me heave,

FrozenMargarita17

I also bite my lips and the inside of my cheeks all the time - anxiety induced.

I do this! It causes me agony at times.

Cellardoor23 · 18/01/2018 22:55

Not sure if this is a quirk or just me being odd, but if I'm listening to music or a song I really like, I like to imagine being in the music video as the lead singer and how I would do it Blush please tell me I'm not the only person who does this

DextroDependant · 18/01/2018 23:01

I panic If I can't get my sock off or my pants down. Full scale panic.

I can't sleep facing someone as I can't share oxygen and I have to have a window open.

ShotsFired · 18/01/2018 23:07

Whenever I see phone numbers on vans or buses and similar, I try and do mental maths to make them into a sum, countdown-style.

Sum has to be in the order of the numbers too, I can't take one from the start and add it to the last one for example.

HariboForBreakfast · 18/01/2018 23:07

I sing songs to myself about an imaginary cat. The cat also replies, in song.
My fluffy duck is cuddling OH's teddy bear. I like heavy bedding, it feels reassuring. When I'm in a room that's new to me I have to follow the skirting board with my eyes and if I can't see as far round the room as possible without moving my head with nothing in the way, I move until I can.

saddestcatintheworld · 18/01/2018 23:12

theplatypusalwaystriumps - your line about airport security slashing up your teddy looking for drugs had me in stitches . Best post I've read it in months!

DwangelaForever · 19/01/2018 04:24

@saddestcatintheworld @ThePlatypusAlwaysTriumphs i have that fear too, I think it stems from that drug smuggling advert in the 90s where the little girls teddy gets ripped up and it's filled with drugs?

HuskyMcClusky · 19/01/2018 05:06

I have slept with ear plugs in every single night of my life for decades.

wasMissD · 19/01/2018 05:27

@Sologirl1982

I love that you trot up the stairs! That's amazing. Grin

ThePlatypusAlwaysTriumphs · 19/01/2018 07:48

dwangela I don't remember that ad, but probably subconsciously I do, because the image of my precious Ted getting slashed up is so vivid!!

Even the thought brings me out in a sweat! I have ditched boyfriends who thought it funny to hurt my bear, I get so upset! I can just see me surrounded by DH and 3 dc having the mother of all meltdowns in the airport BlushBlush.

I have explained my reasoning to Ted and he is cool with it. He did a lot of travelling in his younger days, so apparently he is happy just to chill.

My cuddly toys have to be comfortable. This has been the case from childhood. I can't bear for them to be on the floor, upside down, squashed under anything or generally in any uncomfortable-looking position. They have to be upright, looking outwards, with plenty of breathing space.

Sarahh2014 · 19/01/2018 10:48

Cupboard doors left open.Even if at someone else's house I have to shut it

wanderings · 19/01/2018 12:07

I like hearing my presents being wrapped - as a kid I used to listen at the door if I knew this was happening. My DH understands, and invites me to stay in the room while he wraps - I love this, even though I am blindfolded and can't see anything!

I also like to wear trainers on my bare feet, because I think it feels nice. (My feet hardly sweat at all.)

Sloppychops · 19/01/2018 12:33

@sologirl1982 My dad always trots up the stairs and he's 76 tomorrow! Reckons it's easier on his knees Smile

applebags · 19/01/2018 17:21

HottySnanky, I think we might be separated at birth!! I'm so jealous you've got a DP willing to donate his hair to you, that's amazing.

If I'm sitting behind people on the bus with any frizzy hairs I have to look away as I really want to pull them out. I'd probably be arrested. Confused

TillyMint81 · 20/01/2018 07:08

If I'm sat with my legs stretched out in front of my and no shoes on I rest the heel of one foot between the first and second toe of the other. Dd1 was spotted doing the same several months back!
As a child I used to chew my hair as well as pull it and my eyelashes out.
I used to drink bath water out of a facecloth Blush when in the bath. God that's manky!

ForalltheSaints · 20/01/2018 07:11

I almost always sit on the left hand side of a train, tune or bus.
