To not use the little fruit and veg bags

...at the super market that they provide at the end of the aisle?

DP has only just noticed I don't use them which he thinks is really weird.
I just think it's a waste of plastic if you wash your fruit and veg anyway.

Am I the only one?

Lucy you put them in a reusable carrier on the checkout and sort when home. Tbh my fruit goes in the bowl, veg in salad drawers or random shelf

I’ve stopped using them, I’m trying to reduce my plastic waste. I’m considering getting some paper bags to take to the supermarket.

Yanbu! I never use them either, just chuck everything straight in the trolley! It all gets peeled or cooked anyway so why the need for the little bags?! The sooner they're banned the better!

I suppose I'm worried about bacteria. I read a study that showed lots of chicken packaging is contaminatedvwith campylobacter. I usually just give my fruit a quick rinse with water which wouldn't be enough to kill any pathogens. I'd hate to think what else would be on the conveyor belt thing.

Slane it's a good job you don't see what happens to food before it gets to the shelves!

Wash fruit, cook veg and you'll be fine. Bacteria are everywhere, it's not like people are getting ill everywhere from not putting their veg in a bag.

The worst offenders put oranges and bananas in a bag.... Why?!
