You need a local lawyer or accountant. There is no public record a la Companies House for small companies and you will need to make decisions between LLP and Inc status. This may all depend on your ownership structure, particularly as the Trump tax bill has significantly changed things for overseas owned companies (basically what we knew last year will be different next year).

Thanks for replying. The decision as to structure itself has been made (not by me). We're literally just after the mechanics.
Is there genuinely some kind of ban on members of the public incorporating their own company such that you have to go through a lawyer? That sounds more French than American. Certainly all the Delaware stuff is online.

Anyway, I do appreciate your reply

Here's a wiki guide - might point you in right direction:

There’s no ban per se, it is just bloody difficult to do yourself and very easy for an advisor to do it for you. Shouldn’t cost more than a few hundred dollars but will save a lot of time and aggro. They’ll also be able to help you navigate the local KYC requirements for banking for companies with non US ownership.

KYC?
