We're looking at a new sofa - measurements 91x97x194cm

Door frame is standard 76cm

I day sofa won't fit. DH says it'll wiggle in.

WIBU?

When we were moving out of a house years ago the removal men were having a hell of a time getting the couch out of the livingroom. They took the feet off it, turned it this way and that, asked me how it came in. I hadn't been there at the time but insisted it came in through the door. After half an hour of wrestling the thing I phoned my brother who had been there. Turns out they'd taken the window out and put it in that way. Once I told the removals men it was out of the house in a few minutes...Blush

Pivot. Pivot. Piiiivvooottt.

I had Ross's voice in my head when I read that! 😆

It will come without the legs on anyway and the depth measurement will be the top edge (back of sofa) to bottom front but will be angled...so yea pivot

We put a new smaller door in out porch after delivery of sofa. Had to go out through the window

Thanks Mickeyluv I hadn't seen that on the website about the arms off for delivery. Very useful to know

The sofa in friends is identical to our current sofa! I'll be Ross, not helping and annoying everyone as it's being delivered Grin

So I rang DFS and asked my question. The guy went to measure the sofa and confirmed as suggested by pps that the legs will be off for delivery and the back will be shorter/lower without the cushions so it'll fit no bother.
I should have called them in the first place!
