To think my 16 month old can sense I’m pregnant?

I’m sure you’re all going to think I’m mad, infact I think the same way but I’m convinced my little one can sense I’m pregnant. I’m only 4+5 but have noticed over the last couple of weeks she has been incredibly clingy and wants to lie on me all the time, wants to go to sleep on top of me, and just generally can’t stop touching me. Thinking back to when she was about 9 months old I have a picture of her on a pregnant friends knee and she sat there with her hand on my friends tummy the whole time.

Am I actually going insane?? Blush Grin

Possible but unlikely

I think our cat knew I was pregnant. He constantly sat on my lap, or laid on my belly if I was laying down. He couldn't get enough of me.

I could have wrote this! 5 weeks pregnant and my 16 month old is super cuddly and loving!

I hope you are right. I love the sound of this. 🙂

It’s possible that you smell differently to her. I’m not sure how in tune humans are to each other’s smells but I know dogs can smell illnesses and things like that so maybe your new hormones smell different to her.

Nah. She’s probably picking up on something emotional from you.

It's a lovely thought isn't it. I convinced my dog knew I was pregnant before I knew, she wouldn't leave me alone at all!

My little boy randomly started to kiss my tummy when I was in the first couple if weeks of pregnancy

I was permanently warm throughout my first pregnancy. I swear I had the ReadyBrek glow. My cat liked lolling all over me, but more for shallow reasons (heat source) than out of special love. Nice idea though.

Smell or taste?

PussCatTheGoldfish · 16/01/2018 20:24

My 17 month old didn't even notice my full term bump at that age Grin.

I read it (quickly) as 16 year old so was a bit suspect by the reason for extra affection...

I'm six weeks and my 13m cuddle-averse toddler has become a Velcro koala 🐨
