The TUI one. It's everywhere. The one that goes "Ain't nobody... loves me better... makes me happy.... yadda yadda..."

It's just so cringey! I mean, it's nice that it's so upbeat and happy, but did they have to make it so.... catchy? Obviously that's the whole idea, but for me it's just infuriating and making me want to use TUI less and less! The best bit is the dancing crabs Grin

AIBU to hate it and mute the TV whenever it comes on?

I love the Suzuki advert though. The music makes me feel young again and reminds me of my raving days.

Haha as I was typing this that bloody Tui advert came on again Grin

walchesterweasel · 14/01/2018 19:33

What about the travel agents ad whose catch line includes ' Mahoosive' ?
I would run as fast as I could in the opposite direction rather than be on a plane with them

Yes to sarahh2014 , double glazing with a woman that looks like she's from Bananarama ? The last line doesn't metre at all and I feel myself bracing in advance !

DeadMorose · 14/01/2018 19:35

I don’t mind it. And I love both Nationwide adverts. My favourite though is Wren kitchens one, where they cry. Grin

iklboo · 15/01/2018 16:00

I've just seen another one. That denture fixing cream one with the woman inside a mouth as it's chewing and they felt the need to put 'dramatisation'. Well, no shit.

TinyPaws · 15/01/2018 22:44

I bloody hate it. I had the misfortune to be stuck in an airport a couple of months ago with this advert on loop.

It's a stupid name and a stupid slogan the I isn't dotted and the T isn't crossed FFS.

LuluJakey1 · 15/01/2018 22:56

I hate
a) The mattress advert with the woman singing in a croaky, breathy babyish cutesy voice. I HATE her voice.
b] The advert for Fairy with the woman singing in the croaky, breathy, babyish, cutesy voice 'Hands, Fingers Knees and......Toes'. I HATE her voice.
I want to smash the telly when they come on. I switch channels for a minute.

mrsharrison · 15/01/2018 22:58

Lulujake you're my woman! I cringe at that ad and have to mute!

CaptainCabinets · 15/01/2018 23:01

I'd rather watch it 1000 times than listen to the fucking Skinner's Sheds advert even once

SleightOfMind · 15/01/2018 23:02

If they wanted to show ordinary people having superstar holidays, couldn’t they have used a normal looking black lady and gone with the Chaka Khan version?

Instead of a white model with a very Caucasian voice.

Oh....

AdidasGirl · 15/01/2018 23:02

It's the Nationwide advert that's doing my head in.
The one with the 2 sisters playing piano and singing a song together.

SistersOfPercy · 15/01/2018 23:04

Fairly sure Beagle Street woman is planning to bump him off. She's got that look in her eye.

C0untDucku1a · 15/01/2018 23:04

I knew what advert you were talking about before i opened the thread!

StripySocksAndDocs · 15/01/2018 23:05

YADNBU

All those stupid dementedly happy people with their synchronised annoyingness. They can just feck off with their scary smiles.

dingdongdigeridoo · 15/01/2018 23:14

Ugh that breathy version of heads, shoulders is just cringeworthy. Have they run out of songs to do shit cover versions of? Will the next ad campaign be Lily Allen singing the grand ole duke of York?

Those Nationwide ads piss me off because they’re a terrible rip off of Garfunkel and Oates, who are hilarious. Look up their songs on YouTube. I like Pregnant Women are Smug.

SistersOfPercy · 16/01/2018 15:54

Just seen another that annoys the shit out of me...

'Time to shine'. Yeah he's not marrying me cos I've got chewing gum. WTF?

I do like Nationwide's Flo & Joan though. Sorry Blush

StripySocksAndDocs · 16/01/2018 16:23

I don't understand that ad at all SistersOfPercy. Though I'd thought it was supposed to be she'd decided not to marry him upon her chewing gum (reason slightly unclear.)

Hygge · 16/01/2018 19:51

I like Flo and Joan as well. Which one is which?

Are they like Ant and Dec, sitting in name order?

Mind you, I only saw that advert for the first time yesterday, there's time for me to go off them.
