I need to buy a new pushchair as my little boy has out grown our bulky travel system but it’s so hard to find foldable strollers that take Children over 15kg. My 18 month old is already at the weight limit for most strollers as he’s 15kg now. I’m pulling my hair out Confused

Can anyone pleassssse recommend a foldable stroller, weight up to 25kg. Ideally with a single push bar ( like a prism) rather than separate handles. I need to be able to push it with one hand due to older toddler ! Help ?!

I found the silver cross Pop on Mothercare but it’s separate handles Sad I won’t be able to push it straight with one hand will I ?

Get a buggy bar for the pop? They're not dear if you can't find anything else.

I bought a Mountain Buggy Nano for my giant 2yo based on recommendations here - it’s fab! He still uses it on longer days out, at 3.5!

Baby jogger city mini gt. Giant seat, folds small, easy to push.

WisestIsShe · 12/01/2018 15:19

Also, I think I'm the EU pushchairs are usually only weight tested to 15kg but the city mini is approved for to 22kg, I think, in the us.

Myperfectlittlefamily · 12/01/2018 15:20

City mini gt

TheVanguardSix · 12/01/2018 15:22

I second the citi mini GT! I've had 3 giants. DC1 is nearly 16 so they didn't have this in his day. But had one for DC3 and it was an absolute godsend. It's robust yet lightweight enough and a dream to fold and unfold as well as push. Best stroller/buggy I've ever had.

TheVanguardSix · 12/01/2018 15:24

City mini GT. Not citi. Sorry!

pullonyourjudgypants · 12/01/2018 15:34

I second Mountain Bugggy nano v2. They've got them on eBay for £159, seller "pram centre". It supports up to 20kg but I suspect could handle a little larger. Is so light which is handy with a heavy child!

pullonyourjudgypants · 12/01/2018 15:42

Baby jogger city mini GT manual I’ve just looked at says max weight 15kg Hmm

@Rents could I use the nano on rough terrain like a rough path in the woods or is it purely pavement / shops?

If you have a child with long legs would those pushchairs be ok?

Discusting · 12/01/2018 15:44

City Mini GT is only tested to 15kg in UK but is approved for up to 22kg in US.

GreenFingersWouldBeHandy · 12/01/2018 15:45

'Giant child' in your title made me laugh... [big grin] sorry I have no practical advice! But good luck with your search...

Discusting · 12/01/2018 15:45

Oyster Zero is up to 20kg. I’ve just bought one and it’s fab. Folds easily and small, very light to lift in and out of car boot. Super big seat and good hood height for tall children and pushes like a dream! Hood is also huge so you never need to faff about with the raincover.

OhWifey · 12/01/2018 15:47

Baby Jogger says 15kg because it's sold here and it's something about testing and the EU. If you look up an American Baby Jogger which is identical, you will find a much higher published weight limit (well over 20kg iirc).
Also out n about nipper are good for large children, have a high weight limit and are an absolute dream to push. But don't fold so small as the Baby Joggers.
I'm a veteran of an enormous toddler so I've been through a lot of buggies and those are the two I'd go back to every time

Figgygal · 12/01/2018 15:47

Baby jogger was the best purchase I made with ds1 he used until 3.5 ds2 is now in it and it's still going strong.

upshltcreek · 12/01/2018 15:48

Maclaren techno XLR is huge, is 2 handles though.

SaucyJack · 12/01/2018 15:50

The Mamas and Papas Argo is designed for bigger babies and toddlers.

It's mostly great, except fortune basket (which is shit).

Psychobabble123 · 12/01/2018 15:51

Phil and Teds all take up to 25kg,the dot and dash are small and all have a single handle are are great for rough terrain like the woods etc.

Spikeyball · 12/01/2018 15:52

Baby jogger city mini. Ds used it till he was 4.

pullonyourjudgypants · 12/01/2018 15:55

@ohwifey the out n about I’ve seen them but they look quite low. I’m really tall which must be why I have a giant child !!! I’m worried I’d be crouching to push that.

Will have a surf for all the suggestions so far
