AIBU to still have hope? Bleeding at 5 weeks pregnant :(

I got my BFP on Monday and since then have had more and more pregnancy symptoms, including sore boobs, nausea, feeling exhausted (went to sleep at 8pm last night!) and needing to wee about 10 times a day! However, unfortunately I have also had pink spotting, which this morning has progressed into splotches of red blood :( (it's Friday morning where I am and I'm 5 weeks tomorrow.)

I have already had 2 MCs, both at 6 weeks although one was an MMC and I didn't find out until 8 weeks, and am so desperate to hold on to this little one. Honestly, do you think I should give up hope? I had bloods taken on Monday and am going for another blood test today to see if my HCG levels have been rising, but should I expect that the results will be negative? Please help, I'm scared :(

I bled quite badly at 6 weeks it's turned out I had a 'vanishing twin'. But DS1 stuck and is now a healthy 8 yr old'! Good luck this morning.

Thinking of you and sending love and positive thoughts.

I hope all turns out well OP. I bled regularly in one of my pregnancies and all turned out well. But I totally understand the enormous stress of not knowing which way it's going. Thinking of you.

Another one here who had bleeding in Early pregnancy and I had a very heavy bleed at 34 weeks. I was utterly convinced I had lost my baby. I was a wreck. The sodding nurse or whatever she was at the hospital told me there was no reason to cry!! Fortunately everyone was fine and I had my baby later that day.

Anyways, I've got all my fingers crossed for you.

neighbourhoodwitch · 12/01/2018 07:49

Yes - hopefully it is implantation bleeding. All crossed. x

SolemnlySwear2010 · 12/01/2018 08:14

I had very heavy bleeding from about 5 weeks to about 13 weeks with my DD.

Even the midwife thought i was having a miscarriage, but i went for several scans and every one showed a healthy baby.

I now have a healthy 3 year old, i never did get an explanation for the bleeding Smile

LittleLionMansMummy · 12/01/2018 08:25

Good luck op.

I had quite a heavy bleed (including passing clots) at about the same time (I have pcos so hadn't taken a pregnancy test at that point because I was used to having irregular periods and long cycles). I thought it was my period and even used a tampon. By the evening I was no longer bleeding and when I tested a few days later got a positive. Ds is now a happy, healthy 7yo and the pregnancy and birth were otherwise normal and easy.

Faintlinesquints · 12/01/2018 08:28

Good luck OP Flowers

So sorry Flowers

Secretlifeofme · 12/01/2018 09:03

Yes. Apparently it was a chemical pregnancy. I sort of wish I had never tested now! But in my case I need really early intervention in my pregnancies, so testing as soon as my period is late is a good idea Confused

I'm very sorry secret

Itscurtainsforyou · 12/01/2018 10:16

So sorry.

It may be too early to bring this up, but after 3 miscarriages you can have nhs investigations into what (if anything) could be contributing.

Take care

Rebeccaslicker · 12/01/2018 10:39
