Seems like a good idea as the negotiations are not going well.

Love the Freudian typo!

DeloresJaneUmbridge · 11/01/2018 22:20

What an uttter dickhead that man truly is.

I voted remain but after the amount of money and time gone into Brexit talks I just want it to be a done deal.

He truly is an idiot.

ilovesooty · 11/01/2018 22:21

No. I don't think we should ever have another referendum again.

And I don't think that revolting man's views are something worth paying any attention to.

TheQueenOfWands · 11/01/2018 22:22

Epic Autocorrect.

I'm not voting again, done with that shit storm. My team always lose...

VladmirsPoutine · 11/01/2018 22:22

What does this even mean? Nearly half a billion pounds now will be peanuts if we don't immediately take steps to turn the ship around.

ragged · 11/01/2018 22:23

Better than throwing good money after bad.

TheWelshDragon · 11/01/2018 22:24

Agree ^^

Butterymuffin · 11/01/2018 22:24

Oh yes. Game on.

Ruffian · 11/01/2018 22:27

Nigel Garage! Love that Grin

Second referendum - never going to happen. I doubt there will be another referendum on anything for many generations.

KennDodd · 11/01/2018 22:29

Do you think Leave will get their bus out again?

KennDodd · 11/01/2018 22:33

Also, it'd be really interesting to see the Remain politicians who are now Leave on this, would they then all go back to their Remain positions and say that Brexit is a shit idea, always was, always will be? I'd also hope NI would get the attention it always deserved.

Butterymuffin · 11/01/2018 22:35

Someone said on Twitter earlier that a second referendum would cause all sorts of headaches but one bright spot would be Theresa May now having to campaign for Leave. Can you imagine? 'NOTHING. HAS. CHANGED'.

BoneyBackJefferson · 11/01/2018 22:38

KennDodd

Do you think that either side would put forward any actual information or anything other than soundbites?

There hasn't been any real political debate for years.

elisaveta · 11/01/2018 22:41

What VladimirsPoutine said. Yes, we've already lost a lot, but we're looking at losing a hell of a lot more.

KennDodd · 11/01/2018 22:44

Theresa May now having to campaign for Leave

TM has been very tight lipped on this though, she has never said (as far as I know ) that Brexit is a good idea.

LaPampa · 11/01/2018 22:46

I guess the remain argument would be stronger and better formed now as they have something to warn against?

Does Nigel really think things are looking so good in moving towards Brexit that more people will now turn around and vote leave?

notmaryberry · 11/01/2018 22:49

The man is a snake and we should do the exact opposite of whatever he says.

AppleKatie · 11/01/2018 22:54

The man is a snake and we should do the exact opposite of whatever he says.

When I first heard this news my first thought was that the utter snake knows that the best way to guarantee no second referendum is to make having one sound like his idea. He know the political establishment seek to do the opposite of his ideas. Twat.

The guys a politician, and a good one at that. Like or loathe him, he seems one step in front of the rest.
It is a crying shame that the elected major politicians lack the same incisiveness and guile.

joangray38 · 11/01/2018 23:18

I think he has finally twigged he is going down in history as one of the major players if this goes wrong , hasn't got the job in the lords that he wanted , will only have his mep pension. Maybe drawn into links with Russia and finally he isn't getting the job offers (like Cameron etc) as he thought he would. So he wants a second ref so he can stay relevant and get paid to go on radio etc.
