Second date tonight and nervous!! AIBU to ask for your advice?

Disclaimer: already got a thread about previous date.

Got a second date tonight with someone I met on Tinder. We had our first date last week.

I'm totally new to dating (and relationships, actually, for a variety of reasons Blush), and quite scared.

Although he seems very nice and we got on well last time, I really want to take things slowly, especially considering that we don't even know each other yet(!!)

AIBU to ask for your advice please?

Where are you going?

Arkangel · 11/01/2018 16:27

Be you.

It's cliche but if you're not you then you'll just waste a load of time being something else until it gets boring and you can't keep it up.

DailyMailFuckOffNow · 11/01/2018 16:35

MrsTerryPratchett we're meeting at a pub near where he lives (which is also on the right side of town of me). Aargh just feel a bit antsy and nervous.

Thanks so much Arkangel :)

I probably should pre-eat Wink I get antsy when I'm hungry!! Blush

Haha, at the pre eating.

When I was dating last I used to amaze men with how much food I could put away.

They'd always say the "oh finally a girl that eats" and id be like "yeah, I'm sure you'll be loving that when I'm eating half your Big Mac because I didn't think I could finish my chicken mayo..."

I'm a terrible dater. Boys are scared of me, Grin

DailyMailFuckOffNow · 11/01/2018 16:56

Grin Arkangel. I could honestly eat for England 😂😂

Be yourself and have fun!!! If you pretend to be something you aren't, they will find out eventually anyway. Good luck OK!

Tinkofhousepan · 11/01/2018 16:56

Op* not ok

ClaryFray · 11/01/2018 16:59

Be yourself and have fun.

Don't try and order a salad, because you feel you should. I have a gel at work who did that. Complained about it after too. Order that steak!!

Emmageddon · 11/01/2018 17:05

Just relax and try to enjoy yourself. Order what you actually want to eat. Have a glass of wine or two (assuming you're not driving!) but don't get sloshed, that's never a good idea as I may know from experience and have fun. Remember you are finding out about each other and whether or not you like each other enough to have a third date.

Good luck Flowers Wine

blackistheneworange · 11/01/2018 17:06

Good luck! I've got a second date tonight too. Will be driving so no wine here. Just be yourself and you'll be fine.

You do know there is a very long running (several years in fact) dating thread over in Relationships?
