to ask how to find out if he was guilty as charged?

While googling the name of someone I have worked with (to check the title of something he published), I found newspaper reports stating that he was charged in 2015 with making indecent images of children.

As you can imagine, this was rather a shock. I would like to know if he was found guilty, and if he received a sentence. I've tried looking at the court lists but can't find any trace of it.

Does anyone know if there's a way to check? He is still active in a field I am also involved with. If he was guilty of this, I want to know so that I can refuse any future shared work. It has rather upset me.

Yes, you can find out through the local courts. Google the name of your local Crown Court and there will be somewhere you can search.

Not getting any results from that database or the court search lists.

The article says that he was charged at Croydon Magistrates Court on June 12th 2015, and that he would next appear at Croydon Crown Court on June 26th 2015.

I just can't find any trace of either hearing (if that's the right word). Maybe I'm being completely incompetent. It's troubling me. The newspaper has very clear identifying details - job, location, photo, rare medical condition - so it's definitely him, but why can't i find any record of the case?
