AIBU to find his request to feed him grapes annoying?

Last night I came in from work late at about 10:20pm. I’ve been really ill with the flu since Christmas Eve and the night before I was up with my 3 year old son who was ill. As you can imagine I was pretty tired and desperate for bed. I was in the kitchen making myself a lemsip and the OH comes in and asks me if I will feed him grapes. I thought it was just a joke so I fobbed him off. He became more persistent, producing some grapes. I said it was silly and I was too tired. I was annoyed. He kept going on about it so I took one grape and tried to stuff it in his mouth. He got angry and said I wasn’t being very sensual. Fair enough, but it wasn’t the right time (not sure there would ever be a right time to be honest). I went to bed.
This morning he’s barely talking to me.
Then at work he sends me this image with the text “well?” He’s being really persistent about it and gets really hurt and offended every time I say I’m not interested. He’s now talking about getting a villa just so we can reanact this grape eating scenario. He’s really trying to push me into it.
Am I being unreasonable to think his request is ridiculous?

Blindfold him and feed him a chilli? He’ll not ask again....l

Eltonjohnssyrup · 09/01/2018 12:57

Are you sure it was grapes and not plums?

LyraPotter · 09/01/2018 12:58

😂 this is hilarious. I agree with the chilli suggestion above...

livefornaps · 09/01/2018 13:06

Time to make him a shopping list of all the things you'd need before you could even contemplate the scenario

A roman villa
Golden laurels
Togas
One of those massive palm leaf fans
etc etc

Send him out like it's the shopping task on the apprentice. Then sit back, relax and eat all the grapes in the meantime.

If your DP is the guy in the picture then I'll pop round and feed him for you if you need some support?

No need to thank me, I'm nice like that!

Rainatnight · 09/01/2018 13:13

That is batshit.

Weird.

UnaOfStormhold · 09/01/2018 13:18

Can you find a nice picture of a man bringing his ill wife a hot drink and delicious meal and explain this is more the sort of thing that you feel like...

blueyacht · 09/01/2018 13:18

Peel him a big round grape while talking about eyeballs. He'll not want it.

I agree with the chilli idea. Other than that I would be telling him to sod off.

Loyaultemelie · 09/01/2018 15:03

You could try these? goo.gl/images/EeVJZy

FizzyGreenWater · 09/01/2018 15:12

Text back 'I don't understand. Are you saying you've bought a villa? That's good news. Let me know so that I can start pediment shopping'.

bummymummy77 · 09/01/2018 16:30

What the fuck? 😂

Eliza9917 · 09/01/2018 16:36

Are you already married? Maybe he wants to propose.

Or maybe he just wants to role play a bit, and set up some ridiculous porno type scenario Grin

Eliza9917 · 09/01/2018 17:45

Go along with it and see what he does -then tell us the point of this ASAP-

g1itterati · 09/01/2018 17:56

"He is now talking about getting a villa..."

Where - in Greece? I take it he means a holiday. It's quite cold in Greece at the mo though. Can he wait until May? Maybe you could find some pillars in the British Museum?

Eltonjohnssyrup · 09/01/2018 17:57

Just make sure he doesn't mention 'Greek love'. Or make sure you have plenty of KY jelly if he does.

YouTheCat · 09/01/2018 18:00

If he does mention 'Greek love' make sure he is the 'receiver'. Grin
