Not an AIBU. Inspired by the thread where the OP had to host a christening and she credited mumsneters with getting her through. It made me think of powerful mumsnet and the advice given can be and how it has helped me through some hard times. Has it helped you too? Please share and let’s make a feel good thread on this drab Jan morning:

Mumsnet women helped me see my son needed a new nursery urgently and that their wasn’t anything “wrong with him”. They were right and he has thrived ever since and now doing wonderfully at school.

Helped me seek help for my crippling anxiety and helped me realise there was help out there and that I didn’t have to put up with it. That there was more to life than just surviving.

Handheld during my son’s meningitis hell and supported in the aftermath.

Encouraged me to get a slow cooker and inspired me to spend more time making better meals for my family.

Made me realise I need to cut dh some slack at times.Grin

Oh and helped me realise the extent of my

Helped me through my cancer diagnosis and treatment. On a lighter note, helped me get lots of bargains for Christmas and introduced me to the joys of Duinrell in Holland - Just booked again for this year!

I once asked a financial question and had an almost unanimous response to what I should do. One Mnetter posed a ‘what if’ scenario. I took the advice but thought the ‘what if’ would never be a reality. In fact, exactly what she predicted, did happen.

It's mainly in a chit-chat way, I enjoy engaging.

And it's soooo nice if you can't sleep and there's someone around to 'talk' to
