To wish my neighbour's child would stop impersonating an ambulance?

Neighbour is lovely. Her DS (age 4) is adorable, funny and is always doing bits and impressions.

The difficulty lies here. He does a particularly convincing impersonation of an ambulance. Firstly, it's ear-piercing and glass-shattering. Secondly, he does it frequently. Thirdly, it sets neighbourhood dogs off and they take ages to settle.

I can't exactly pop round and ask his mum to tell him to stop pretending to be an ambulance, can I? I'll look a bit unhinged.

Sorry but 😂😂😂😂 I used to impersonate a pedestrian crossing when I was little, the neighbors must have hated me!

TheCatOfAthenry · 07/01/2018 12:48

SirWibbles that's genuinely hilarious- and probably original too!

Say something - our old neighbours' child (we moved!!!) kept it up for 7 years - we were there for 2 of them.

I hope you are not posting about us. DS does a very good ambulance noise, often in the garden on his scooter and it makes next door's dog bark. But he is only 3 and he doesn't do it all the time. Blush I blame DH - who taught him.

TheCatOfAthenry · 07/01/2018 12:59

@LuluJakey1 definitely not you! I know the family, he's definitely 4 and there are many disturbed dogs rather than one!

Does he just shout nee naw or is it more realistic?

TheCatOfAthenry · 07/01/2018 13:04

It's like a real ambulance - I've been fooled once or twice.

Oh god that sounds annoying.

This reminded me of what happened when I used to live at home with my DM and DDad,back in the late 1970s. The NDN's had a minor bird, which was kept in an aviary in their conservatory. This bird was a very good mimic, and in the summer when they had the windows open,we could hear it shouting our cat's name,in a voice uncannily like my DM's!
