To feel slightly uncomfortable with this?

I have 2 very reluctant clothes shoppers for sons and so end up doing a lot of their clothes shopping online and then they can say yay or nay at home. Today I have been looking at the Jack Wills site, exclusively at the men's clothing - jeans, shirts, etc, and have put some items in the basket. When I looked at the basket it gave me some suggestions of other things I might like. Based on my browsing history, why on earth would it come up with this other than thinking I'm a randy teenage boy?

Also, while the male models are a healthy 32R sort of size model, these girls are clearly underage/underweight.

I’ve also used 11 year old DS phone to look at a mans hoodie as it’s brand new and The phone won’t have any browsing history to suggest I’m a woman.
It then showed me on the checkout page some other goodies, they were girls wearing them but as the hoody I randomly selected was only available in xs do the algorithm probably deduced I was a girl as they often buy men’s clothes in xs.

What a lovely load of support. Not.

Lyn Why does the OP need support? And why do you even care?

@lynmilne65 looks supportive to me!

Some people may have a distorted view of what a healthy weight looks like, but I honestly don't think I do. I'm a size 10. No-one in my immediate family and very few of my friends are bigger than that. My 15 year old daughter is a 6. 10-15 years ago in my early 30s I weighed well under 8 stone (at 5 ft 4) and a size 8 was too big for me (there weren't many 6s around then). When I go to some swimming pools, I'm shocked by the number of overweight children. I still think the model in my link looks thin compared to eg. my daughter and the young me. Yes it can be a healthy weight/aspiration for some women, but for very many it is not.

I dunno, maybe the photo looks different on my browser because nobody has ever accused me of having an inflated view of what a healthy weight looks like before. Just the opposite.

and I think that saying a model looks too thin in a modelling shot is very different from saying the same about other people.
