To think a white wash means just that!?

Lighthearted thread... Asked DH to put some whites in the washing machine, I'd half filled it but needed to feed DD and get her to bed. I was very specific with what else needed to go in (just because he has form for putting in DD's vests that are white but with colourful spots and patterns). I went to put it on and realised it was over full which I thought was strange, he's chucked in clothes of all the colours of the rainbow in. I'm wondering what he heard whilst I uttered the words 'white' and 'white wash'!? Hmm

Do any of your OH's defy logic?

Yes, my husband thinks it's ok to throw some blacks, reds in with whites. Pretty sure he deliberately does it though.

Washing is devolved to me as a household chore, but I follow my fiance's rule on whites, since the stuff is mostly his anyway. Anything with a printed pattern and his work shirts with blue pinstripe is allowed in with the whites, plus sports socks etc.

Then I do darks, blues (cause we have lots of blue together to make a single load regularly), occasionally enough for a red load, even rarer green or yellow, but mostly just mixed.

I am furious. DH put away said hung and put away said white wash to make up for this. I put on my bed sheet tonight and it looks stained with something all over it, I've got another one out and it's the same thing! Looks beige but like tie dyed grease stains, I'm wondering if he's left something in the pocket of a shirt of his.

He's done another load of washing where he's put anything in after I left a pile of washing and asked him to put only that in. When it span, because he'd overfilled it, it sounded like a chopper taking off, I had to run in to check my machine was OK. I'm seriously wondering whether he's now doing it on purpose. LTB? Grin

Sounds like you have a bearing gone.

white wash here is just that - white.

and as a PP said, I am baffled when you get whole threads talking about the difficulties of keeping school polos and socks white.
Its easy - do a seperate white wash and use bio powder in it.

I do occasionally chuck and lights ad whites wash in, when I need some stuff washed and don't have enough for a whole load.

I have to say though, white with spots and white vests with a picture on the front would all go in my white wash!

and if anyone can tell me how to wash ds new t-shirt I would be grateful.

Jack Wills, top half creamy white, bottom half very black.

On saturday I gave up and washed it on its own!

Hmm, I'd be soooo tempted to put a brand new red top in with his favourite white/light tops....... I'm sure he'd LURVE wearing a subtle (or not so subtle depending on what the red item was !!!) pink shade of white shirt. Bwah, ha, ha, ha, ha......

White wash = pure whites, ie school shirts.
All other clothes, darks or lights, get washed together.

Do you use the white glo sachets on just the white only wash or would you also use them on a white wash which also has coloured trims etc
