To not do Twitter? Even though I am on here, Facebook, Linked In, various FB private groups, Instagram, WhatsApp, a fitness site, MoneySavingExpert even bloody Pinterest!

Just never could see the appeal in Twitter.

What do you do on it if you are a tweeter? what is it actually for?

Supermagicsmile · 04/01/2018 21:16

Same! I don't do twitter or Snapchat. Don't like either of them!

Heatherjayne1972 · 04/01/2018 21:21

It’s not compulsory ...

CheekyRedhead · 04/01/2018 21:26

I love twitter. Hate Facebook. I enjoy it for news as it happens , local information eg bars and restaurants, have real friends on there i chat with, have made friends from there, follow famous people I like.

ChristmasTablecloth · 04/01/2018 21:48

No, quite clearly it's not compulsory Heatherjayne. I'm so glad you pointed that out! Hooray for you and your intelligent input.

Of course you're not being unreasonable to not "do" any website that fails to take your fancy.

What do you want here? And why do you think it is a question of unreasonableness?

Are you asking in the hope that we will say "oh yes YABU Twitter is the bestest of all the social medias" and persuade you to join?

Or just wanting other Twitter-haters to come and tell you that you're quite right it is the worst of them all?

Trills · 04/01/2018 22:00

If anything, you would be unreasonable to "do" Twitter, it sounds as if you are overloaded as it is :)

peachgreen · 04/01/2018 22:01

Thanks to Twitter I've kept in touch with a whole community of friends I had to leave behind when I moved, stayed informed about a hobby that I can no longer partake of as much, learnt more about other cultures / lifestyles, made friends (proper 'go out drinking in real life with' friends) with several actors / actresses whose work I followed - oh, and met and married DH, all thanks to a hashtag!

YANBU not to do it, but the appeal is definitely there, I promise!

BigBaboonBum · 04/01/2018 22:09

I only do twitter tbh. It’s great for finding out news quickly and before other platforms so it suits me. But you’re not being unreasonable, it’s just a social network platform
