Ok, not for good, but for several hours? And maybe eat a cake in my car by myself Grin

'D'H has forgotten it's my Birthday. Which tbh is very unusual. But this is my first Birthday as a Mum so not only has he forgotten but because of this and his always buying last minute, he's forgotten to get me a card (I just wanted a first card to 'Mummy' - we tried for our Son for over a decade), he forgot to get the theatre tickets he promised for months (I haven't had a birthday present - or Christmas - in years because we always have other stuff to get but this year we had enough) and he forgot he would cook so we ended up with a shitty meal out the freezer :'(

None of my friends remembered either. Happy Birthday to me Sad

@InsomniacAnonymous I meant it in he should have made a conscious effort to remember, especially for her first one as a mum. I get he forgot, that it wasn't intentional.

Happy birthday for yesterday, Trinity. Cake and

Mind you, a title edit isn't much of a birthday present... We hope that your evening eventually got better.

I went out this morning and came home to two lovely cards and my first 'Mummy' mug :)

There are promises of M&S cake later this evening and I've been shown the receipt for theatre tickets for tomorrow night 😊

I feel a lot better now. He wants to go out for lunch but I havn't told him yet I've eaten my body weight in Thorntons in the car before I got in BlushGrin

I will always remember the birthday when I sat there all evening with my then DP, thinking "he's dragging this out a bit... surely he won't keep up the pretence that he's forgotten for too much longer..." Until the point about 8pm when my brother rang and sang "happy birthday" to me...
It was quite a sight - all the blood drained out of his face, he leapt to his feet and rushed out of the house. He was a day adrift, there was a card (not written), there was a present (not wrapped), they were in the car, he'd intended to bring them in when he walked the dog in the morning.
I have to say, I never saw him look quite that horrified ever again, including the time a few years later when he saw me find the letter from his mistress...
