I've NC for this as some details will be quite outing and don't want friends on MN to see my other posts.

But AIBU to think if you're in a relationship, spending Valentine's Day should be a no brainer on being spent together?

I know some people on MN don't buy into V day and I have a reason for asking, but don't want to say just yet as I want the opinions to my question before it's all about why I asked (if you don't mind☺️).

Thanks everyone!

Yeah he's basically telling you he doesn't want to commit to spending time with you in case he gets a better offer Hmm Real charmer you've got yourself there...

19lottie82 · 03/01/2018 19:41

Broom I really, really hope you’re being sarcastic? Confused

NoFuckingRoomOnMyBroom · 03/01/2018 20:02

What's sarcastic about it? She's asked to spend time with him, he's said he doesn't know yet-if he already had plans surely he'd just say so? The fact he's being vague would tell me he was keeping me on the backburner should nothing else come up. Just my thoughts.

NoFuckingRoomOnMyBroom · 03/01/2018 20:03

Or did you mean the 'charmer' comment? If so then obviously, yes Wink

whiskyfairy · 03/01/2018 20:16

Unless he's got a reason for being vague I would be annoyed. Not because I think Valentine's Day is such a big deal, but it obviously is to the OP, and I wouldn't think it was much of an ask for the man I'd been dating 2 years to agree to do something one evening that's 6 weeks away!

FlyingElbows · 03/01/2018 20:17

Op what matters in your relationship is not what he does on a completely consumerist driven "special" day but what he does every other day.

AlonsosLeftPinky · 03/01/2018 20:19

I think if it's important to one and the other doesn't feel one way or the other about it then surely you'd spend it together??
