Why bother? Just drink in moderation. It makes it sound like you have a drink problem.

And for those who expect to be SPONSORED to do it ... Bollocks to that!

I'm having a Dry January

Dry cider, dry white wine, dry cider...

I have a January birthday which sucks enough without half my mates not wanting to go out due to dry January!

MaisyPops · 03/01/2018 22:49

Why can't they go out and not drink alcohol?
(Unless thr point of the birthday is to get drunk/ they are incapable of going out without alcohol)

Those of us who are rare drinkers or teetotal manage just fine celebrating birthdays and going out.

ChelleDawg2020 Grin agree!

I can easily run 5k. In fact I can run indefinitely. Cant everyone? What's the big deal about that? In fact everyone SHOULD be able to easily manage to run indefinitely. Why on earth do people make a big fuss about managing a pathetic 5k and expect me to sponsor them? If I was so unfit that a three mile run was a challenge of any sort, I'd be too embarrassed to advertise the fact! How gauche!

I appreciate this is not a perfect rebuttal but there is a point in there. We don't all live perfectly healthy lives. Anything to improve our health is for the good. Many people who've done it have found it confers benefits.
