To ask what the best area to retrain in would be?

Posting here for traffic, would be helpful to hear a lot of opinions.

I'm looking to retrain after years off as a sahm. Previous work was all office based and, to be honest, soul destroying.

I love being creative and working with people. Looking at courses in both early years/childcare and beauty/make up. Live in a big city and the work prospects for both seem good.

Has anyone retrained in these areas or knows about the realities of working in them? What do you think would be the best area to retrain in? I'm looking at doing an introduction course so it's not a major commitment at this point but I'm torn about which direction to go in.

Round here, the booming businesses are all personal grooming or coffee shops.

Don't know if you are that way inclined but my OH is a basic IT guy working in an office and business's are almost literally clawing over each other to hire him. He was poached from one job only to be poached back again. This is partially because of where we live (East Anglia) He is nothing special skills wise, he got where he is by not being bad at his job. His original degree was Geology!!

There is lots of demand for online creative jobs too, website design etc. I'm on mat leave in a few weeks and I am seriously thinking about doing some training in this direction but I have a background in design and CAD anyway.
