And we are supposed to be heading out to a new years party right now.
A neighbour of ours is having a gathering and I definitely think it belongs to one of their guests.
WIBU to nip round and see if they will move it so we can go out?

what is next door neighbour saying about daughter?

awful behaviour of course she has no right to block you in!

TheSquashyHatOfMrGnosspelius · 31/12/2017 22:09

Borrow a trolley jack and get it under the car and pull it out into the road. Thattle earn 'er!

Iusedtobeafreeelf · 31/12/2017 22:10

She refused to move it even though it is blocking your driveway preventing you from leaving your drive in your car?! I know it's new years eve but call 101 it might give some poor Bobby a break from dealing with drunken fuckwits tonight.

timeisnotaline · 31/12/2017 22:11

Umm call the police! I bet she knows what a blue badge permits and doesn’t.

Lucked · 31/12/2017 22:11

I would escalate simple because it is a precedent. I would not move off the doorstep, ringing and knocking until she moved. Seriously OP get a bit angry, Chang believe her parents aren’t backing you up.

WindyWednesday · 31/12/2017 22:12

It is illegal to block access to your door.

Bollooooooocks · 31/12/2017 22:12

Did she really really refuse to remove it? Are you 100% sure? Did you ask her? Is she there? Does she exist? What does she look like? Like a goat maybe?? Confused

NonnoMum · 31/12/2017 22:12

She is outrageous! Show her this thread!

Pearlsaringer · 31/12/2017 22:12

DH going out without you? LTB

user1485778793 · 31/12/2017 22:13

Don't be a door mat op. This girl is taking the piss. What if you urgently needed to get out? And her parents, wtf? They're shit neighbours, they could move it for her surely.

Has she fully blocked it and thinks you have room to get round hers?

ChickenMom · 31/12/2017 22:13

WTF? She can’t just not move it! Do something about it! Call the police or go round and tell her that unless she moves it you are pouring a tin of paint over it!!

JaneEyre70 · 31/12/2017 22:13

Wow and you're just letting her??! You need some fireworks OP and a dodgy aim..................

Tiredmumno1 · 31/12/2017 22:13

Good grief, where do these cheeky fuckers come from?

You can't just leave it, you have to do something otherwise she will carry on doing what she wants. I'd be back round there telling her she has one final chance to remove it before you call police. This is ridiculous (not you OP)

crazycatgal · 31/12/2017 22:14

Having a blue badge doesn't mean that she can block the access of other vehicles. Call 101.

KindergartenKop · 31/12/2017 22:14

Mumsnet is on top form tonight. It's almost like NYE 2013/14.

PositivelyPERF · 31/12/2017 22:14

Stop being such a wimp. Get across that road and tell her you're going to cut the breaks, so you can push the car out of the way. Tell her she is free to phone the police an discuss the rights and wrongs with them. Then go back to the car, bounce on the bonnet then crawl under it with a pair of pliers in your hand. I can guarantee she'll be over like a fucking rocket! Btw, don't actually cut the breaks. If that doesn't work, I would be bouncing on that fucking bonnet all night, until she moves it.

Coconutspongexo · 31/12/2017 22:14

PHONE THE POLICE

(If she has a kid under 12 she totes needs the space more than anyone ever)

dingdongdigeridoo · 31/12/2017 22:15

Sit outside beeping your horn til she comes and moves it.

WindyWednesday · 31/12/2017 22:15

Where is DH going at this time. Won’t everywhere be full or something.

UrsulaPandress · 31/12/2017 22:15

Never mind sweetie. Make yourself a sandwich with the leftover ham and sit by the Aga and dream of the year to come whilst picking at your crumbs.

MiddleClassProblem · 31/12/2017 22:15

I’d totally call on her! 101!

(Quietly chanting 101, 101, 101)

Mia184 · 31/12/2017 22:16

She can't be allowed to park there? What if one of you had an accident or became ill and needed to be driven to the hospital?

WindyWednesday · 31/12/2017 22:16

If I was going out and someone blocked me in, they would be moving their car pronto.

lollipop7 · 31/12/2017 22:16

Wow that’s breathtakingly cheeky.
Seeing as she’s preventing you from leaving your property and causing an obstruction then Police it is.
Perhaps knock the door and dial the number on speaker as it’s opened. I bet she shifts her backside then.

SmokingGun · 31/12/2017 22:17

I never quite understand when people post this kind of thing but don’t ever seem to want to actually do something about it Confused
