To be pissed off with the Celebrations tub

Was expecting a Galaxy Caramel when I stuck it in my mouth.

I got a plain boring Galaxy chocolate cuboid instead. I noticed later on, on the lid that Galaxy and Galaxy Caramel are listed but pffft it is either a new addition or I have just struck lucky in previous years?

They usually contain both. The plain galaxy is in a brown and cream wrapper and the caramel in a brown and gold wrapper.

Something wrong with the plain galaxys in our tub! They taste chemically. The rest are fine tho (had to try them all to check)

I miss the galaxy truffle :-(

I miss the galaxy truffle too and I don't like that the malteasers are now flat, for no other reason than I don't like change.

And the snickers taste like 'smoke' - like it used to when I was a smoker and had eaten chocolate before lighting up (yak!)

There was only 2 choccy scoffys in my massive Monty Bojangles variety tub so I feel your pain

I've just had a Twirl for research purposes and it had the essence of doner meat.

Scoleah ours too, I thought maybe it was because I'd just eaten a Bounty and the chocolate in Galaxy is slightly different.

I got one of the Sainsburys tubs after a recommendation on here, on a thread lamenting the vileness of Roses and QS nowadays. It was a good move.

@Mistoffelees It was Horrible! I ate every other flavour after I ate the galaxy to make sure they didn't taste like chemicals too research, and then I had another galaxy just to check and there's defiantly something off !

I think they may have had to reduce the sugar content in a lot of sweets and soft drinks.

I'm disappointed in the one dd2 left downstairs from her Christmas stock. She's only left bounties

The galaxy caramels in ours tasted off too! Really nasty. Who’s idea was it to remove the truffles?? They were what I bought celebrations for!! And there never even used to be enough of them in the tub!

Mmm I loved the truffles too, to be honest I'd be happiest if the tub was entirely Malteasers twix and just a couple of bountys.

I'd prefer the plain Galaxy. Not a big fan of celebrations . I only like the snickers and bounty. Much prefer Heroes.

I think there's always been Galaxy and Galaxy Caramel, hasn't there?

We chose Heroes instead and were bitterly disappointed. So so many caramels which we hate, and eclairs which are great in the car in the summer but less so at Christmas when they’re like concrete and what you want is chocolate to dip in your tea.

We have a tub and i also thought the galaxy tasted different...

I've been buying a tub of Celebrations and a tub of Heroes for the last few years. I don't eat them myself but put dishes of them round the house for people to help themselves.

This year I just looked at them and felt totally uninspired. Won't be buying them again.

I got DS a celebrations advent calendar and was irrationally annoyed at the inclusion of those rank eclair toffees. Cop out.

I've got a very nice box of chocolates. But I've lost the card and I keep accidentally picking up the Turkish delight.

Yuck.

I am so glad it's not just me who has spent Xmas whinging about how gross the Galaxy in Celebrations tastes! It's rank!
