More people complain about a dress (tasteless admittedly) than violent scenes, on shows at about the same time and with I understand broadly the same number of viewers.

Have we lost any sense of priorities, or become too influenced by Facebook which will not show a nipple but allow violence and hate to be on their site?

Yes, we have lost our sense of priorities...quite a long time ago in my opinion.
I don't think it's anything to do with Facebook....I think we are a violent society and have become imune to how violent we are through constant displays of anger and hatred, at home, in books, in films and on TV....
Even TV shows which are considered entertainment contain angry arguments right through to abuse; computer games show quite grafic savagery in the hunts and the chases and the killing; our TV soaps are full of conflict, divorce, deceit... We consider it every day and normal, but I don't think it should be that way.
It makes me very sad....

Or... context? I wouldn't watch Emmerdale with small children but would expect BGT to be family viewing

Ilovetolurk · 28/12/2017 16:41

I don’t know about the “we”

It was 600 odd complaints not the whole country up in arms

BoneyBackJefferson · 28/12/2017 16:44

Looking at the shows and I can't be the only one that doesn't watch any of them.

So 665 people had nothing better to do with life than complain about a dress Confused they must lead fucking sad lives.

It’s a dress, it’s a small amount of boob- Get over it ffs! It’s not like she was butt naked

OP I think some people certainly have lost sense of priorities
