Did my kids get the most unthoughtful card?

Exdp sent a card to our 2 dcs. Well, his mum did.
Nice card, with "for grandkids" message on front. Signed "from nanny"
Ex wrote on envelope and posted card.
So far so good.
Exmil is not in the best of health, so no problem with ex helping out.

But ex didn't bother sending a card for his own kids. He signed granny's card, in the corner "from bill and ben" him and his other woman. (Names changed...)
Eldest child is 15.
He was asking if dad or nan had sent the card. We think nan, as it says grandkids.

Can any other kids match that?
There is no present, no money, no visit or outing etc to go with that card.

I can't work any of that out, but that may or may not be the wine I've been drinking Wine

RedastheRose · 27/12/2017 01:33

Yes they did. He hasn't bothered to buy a card or a present for either of his kids. He's just a rubbish Dad.

Why did you give the OW a bloke’s name? Grin

He sounds a bit shit, more so re the lack of present and visit than the card.

LemonysSnicket · 27/12/2017 01:40

Well at 15 I’d bought my own cards from 12+

Imbroglio · 27/12/2017 01:42

That's rubbish behaviour.

It wasn’t the 15 year old buying the card for Dad! It was Dad signing his name on the card from granny instead of buying his own card!

Italiangreyhound · 27/12/2017 02:01

That's pretty crap, how sad. Hope your kids have a great Christmas with you.

LemonysSnicket this is about a card sent to a 15 year old, not from a 15 year old.

ButchyRestingFace · 27/12/2017 02:04

Maybe LemonysSnicket really does mean that she bought (and signed) cards to herself from age 12 because no-one else did, poor thing.

In which case, Sad.

PenelopeFlintstone · 27/12/2017 02:06

He's a wanker.

DonnyAndVladSittingInATree · 27/12/2017 02:10

OH! Sorry lemony if that’s the case. Sad

harrypotternerd · 27/12/2017 02:21

my kids got nothing from their biological father again. He never bothers with cards or presents and they have stopped expecting them. The last time he bought them something was when they were 2 and 3. They are now 9 and 10 but they got a lot from my partner and me.

Italiangreyhound · 27/12/2017 05:36

Sorry @Lemony if you meant you sent cards to yourself.
