Taking the tree down!

Is it wrong to consider taking the tree down tomorrow? When is everyone else doing it?? I think last year I did it just after Boxing Day. As the kids get older the presents seem to get bigger and I end up having to rearrange the whole room. Need that tree gone. Does that make me a grinch?

Ours came down yesterday (boxing day) as we go away for New Year every year to my husband family. I do not want the hassle of the tree and decs to take down next Wednesday after we get back. I doubt I would leave it up much longer even if we were at home. Does my head in. We dont have a massive living room and I am a minilmist

I once kept the tree up (not decorated obvs, that would be gaga but still fully lit ) until March.
It wasn't an artificial tree and just kept so lush that I couldn't bring myself to throw it out

Blimey, if it went up in November no wonder you're sick of the sight of it.
Ours goes up when I get round to it: usually some time between 15th and 24th December and comes down along with all the other decorations on Twelfth Night.
I saw a poster online that said "there are 12 days of Christmas and none of them are in November" - which kind of sums it up for me.
Don't let yourself be bullied by the DC next year - they need to learn a bit of patience - otherwise in a couple of years time you'l be putting the tree up at Hallowe'en.
