Just walked in on my 34 year old husband brushing his hair having come out of the shower and his mother was standing there talking to him. He was STARK NAKED. That's so weird isn't it? I told him it was weird and said I wouldn't stand naked in front of my dad and he kind of conceded. I'm freaked out. AIBU?

I wouldn't be naked in front of my father as we don't have that relationship. He used to make crude jokes about being naked when I was younger... Like would pretend to dry his balls with my personal hair dyer as a 'joke.' I wouldn't feel comfortable.

My mother on the hand- we have a great relationship and I'd feel 100% fine being naked on front of her. We go shopping and get changed in the same changing room. I'd feel fine being starkers in front of her. And my relationship with my mum is healthy and normal.

My adult dd will chat to me if I'm in the bath or if either of us are getting changed. My son is only 8 but we have no issues being naked in front of hi or the other way round. It's just skin, he's her child, nothing wrong imo. do concede I'm not 'normal'

OP, years ago I had a boyfriend who made up a spare bed with his Mum while completely starkers. He had to pump the bed up with a foot pump. Let it be said that is not an action anyone should do naked. I thought it was weird.

To me, it's really not an issue. Some people just don't have hang-ups about nudity/their bodies around their family. Each To their own, but I don't think I'd get freaked by it. That's his Mum. She'll have seen him naked before. Really not a huge deal imo.

YABU me for and my family nudity is the norm. But we’re a family of medics. A body is a body... it’s only sexual in context. So I very much doubt that “she wanted to see his knob” just that to her it’s just his body

We are pretty cool with nudity in my family to be honest.
If my mum is in the bath, I’ll still go for a weenif I need to. Nudity has never really been a major issue - obviously I’m sure my dad would rather not see me starkers, but it’s haopened a few times and we’ve never made an issue out of it
