To be fucking furious with DH??

Was meant to be leaving for Scotland this morning to go to the in laws for Christmas

DH announces after work yesterday that he wanted to go out "with the boys from golf" tonight for xmas drink and a meal. I told him fine- but he was to deal with MIL and that he had to be home for 11pm as we are meant to be leaving at 5am.

Anyway he called MIL last night who was V upset- she has phoned umpteen times today but DH has been playing golf, had a few at the club and has gone into town. Last I heard from him was him saying that next doors wife would give me a lift to the club to pick up his car to load up it with the presents etc once DD was in bed and he would be home for midnight. Was pissed off, but let it go.

Anyway he hasn't answered his fucking phone since - I know he isn't lying dead somewhere, as his friend has posted a video of him acting like a dickhead pissed as a fart on snapchat. This was 26 minutes ago.

I haven't fucking slept and it looks like im driving 6 hours to Scotland tomorrow.

The prick can sleep with his fucking mother when we get up there

at least he has been such a spectacular dick you don't have to do the drive at 5am yourself having had no sleep.

OP still hasn't had any sleep and her H will still be over the drink drive limit.

Blimey and I thought my lazy OH half was bad (he is) but this is just not on OP. Can you invite you and kids to your family or a friends and just leave him to it?

I would refuse to go. He won't be fit to drive for hours and you have had no sleep ( and why should you have to do it?)

I'd be very cross at this point - problem is I just couldn't put it aside on Xmas Day, I'd still be fuming and then probably annoyed with myself for not being able to be enjoying the day - then doubly cross back at him for making me feel like that.

To say he's been inconsiderate is an understatement.

My DH got wasted night before our big drive too, I did all wrapping, packing and loaded the car. Then drove 6.5 hours and had to stop for him to be sick. He knows he is in the dog house and will be making it up to me in the new year, we sang to heart Christmas radio all the way while he tried to sleep.

Hrft. Ok. It was very stupid of him. But you said he rarely ever goes out. So maybe got carried away. I would (if it’s safe ) drive to Scotland and try to have a good Christmas as it’s not anyone else’s Fault you dh decided to be a twat. Get back home and deal with him then.
