To ask whether you think I should have a cup of tea after being randomly sick?

Went round a friend’s and had a takeaway last night, I got a prawn Korma.

Got home at midnight, took two ibuprofen as I came on yesterday and my period pains were horrendous and went to bed/ sleep at 12.30.

Woke up in the middle of the night suddenly sweating and feeling really sick with a weird/ sore feeling tummy. Lay there for a while thinking it must be 5.30 in the morning or something and the ibuprofen had worn off.

Looked at my phone and saw it was only 2.30am. I knew then that it wasn’t period pain. Laid there for 30 mins thinking I really hope this isn’t food poisoning and then went to the bathroom and threw up.

I tried going back to bed but has to get up again as I started feeling ill again. Waited by the toilet for an hour but nothing. I was exhausted so went back to bed, lAAid down and after about 15 mins I started feeling better and drifted off to sleep.

Woke up just now. My dilemma is I have to a 3 hour drive to London at 10am and I feel knackered. I really want a cup of tea but not sure whether it could aggravate my stomach?

It’s not a sickness bug as I’ve had the norovirus enough times to know you are definitely sick more than once and all the fever/ aches joints and just generally feeling like death that goes with it for a week after!!

This is just random, could it be good poisioming but only sick once and feel okay the next day? I’ve never had food poisioning!

I wouldn't unless it's black tea.

Best case is that your stomach just went ‘err, no thanks’ to the curry and now you’re fine. I’d test it with tea and then food if you can manage it, if you feel like it. Go with your instincts.

Definitely have tea and toast. Worst that can happen is you throw up again.

I'd have tea too with my usual milk and sugar and maybe a slice of toast

I was like this after a takeaway before and was fine eating toast in the morning. Seems like my stomach just didn’t like the takeaway!
