To ask the best thing that's ever happened to you/nicest thing anyone's done?

Just posted in and reading the 'worst thing that's happened to you' and am now in floods of tears.

So thought I'd start a converse thread.

The best thing that's happened to me was ds being born. A botched abortion and years of infertility meant I thought I'd not conceive.

The nicest thing anyone had ever done I think is a neighbour who I've only ever meet twice paying for me, Dh and ds to fly back home when I'd learned my DF had leukaemia.

Best thing to happen to me - my DS being born.
Nicest thing anyone has done -my MiL (R.I.P bless her) took me in when i was completely homeless, didnt think twice about it, me and DP had been together a few months, she saw me as her daughter, included me in xmas etc. When she , i was included in every decision, every meeting, every appointment. Even at such a horrible time, they all made sure i was completely included.
