Being mentally healthy all year, after having a terrible 2016 MH wise that led to seven months LTS. I went back in January and have been happy at work all year (obviously there are bad days but no more than anyone else, I haven’t cried at work all year compared to every day before I went off sick)

Ratinthehat · 25/12/2017 11:17

Leaving my partner of 10 years
Spending more time with the children without him making me feel bad for it (they are his but he was jealous of them)
Getting to see more of my family
Remembering what it's like to laugh
Having a job I love
Becoming an auntie

I'm wracking my brains but this year has been quite uneventful. And actually, that is probably what has made it for me. No unexpected crises, no shocks, no nasty surprises. I like a quiet, calm life and this year I got it ☺

Winning a really big and unpleasant court case against a very determined and nasty opponent. The judge believed me.

I still can’t believe it’s almost over after five years.

WhatWot · 25/12/2017 12:16

Promotion at work.

My parents love and my love for them.

Knowing that I'm a stronger person than I thought I was despite failing ivf a few times, it broke me, it still does but I'm still standing and looking forward to the future.

StorminaBcup · 26/12/2017 22:30

I turned 40. I thought I’d hate it after having a huge meltdown when I turned 30 but I celebrated with my close friends and went away with my family. Looking back I realise I’m really fortunate to have my friends, family and health. I’m actually happy with my lot right now.

Rossigigi · 26/12/2017 22:43

Finally getting a mental health diagnosis- bipolar- and starting on lithium which has made a huge difference. Still on the bottom rung of the ladder, but at least things are looking up.

And I'm thankful to both my ds's as always, but my youngest hugged me tonight and said 'thank you mum for a lovely Christmas, I had everything I asked for and way more too, I've had lovely food, but most of all I've loved seeing all of the family yesterday, my day was perfect' and that made everything worth while.

Congratulations to everyone so far with all of your new arrivals, soon to arrive-als, new jobs, new homes, work and education achievements and beating the bullies.

The birth of my son earlier this year.

Watching up grow and develop. He is such a wonderful baby, with the cheekiest little grin that make my heart swell, and who is busy and into everything, and so contentedbut zero patience when he wants something we have been very, very lucky with him!

Finally moving into out house a month before DS was born. We went through a drawn out process but it all worked out very well.
