That really...one child is revising for mocks, the other is playing games on the tv and I've got nothing to do - nothing is motivating me to actually do it as I'm bogged down by depression ATM.

I'm so sorry @FullOfXmasCheerOfCourse Flowers have you had any help with treating the depression?

coffeecow · 21/12/2017 19:48

Maybe a nice bath? That always makes me feel better x

FullOfXmasCheerOfCourse · 21/12/2017 19:56

Yeah, I've got tablets for it which usually work but not for the last few days. I'm going to have a bath later on once I've collected my eldest from work.

Read a good book. Do a puzzle. Yoga on YouTube.

Hi,
Sorry that you're feeling so down OP,I appreciate it seems like the very last thing you want to do,but exercise always helps....💜🌼💜🌼

SavageBeauty73 · 21/12/2017 20:14

Medication, exercise and a good boxset works for me.

cathyclown · 21/12/2017 20:26

Sorry to hear that OP.

Christmas can sometimes bring us all down in one way or another. It is a gift we do not want!

Self care is the key here. If that means lolling around in your PJs, having a nice coffee/drink, just being lazy, that's ok. We are under so much pressure to be oh so perfect and organised at this time, that it is bound to affect us sometimes.

I have learned to say NO now. And it is such a revelation! Everyone accepts it without question. I think they are in shock TBH as I was always the people pleaser, and sure Cathy will do this and that and the other. Not anymore. Although I do participate and help out, but on my own terms now. Took half a lifetime but so worth it.

I hope you will be OK.

I know the feeling! I've got one teenager on his computer with headphones on at the other end of the room and the older one is in his bedroom playing games on his computer.

I've just signed up for a months free Netflix so I'm finding things on there to watch.

FullOfXmasCheerOfCourse · 22/12/2017 06:46

Who'd have teenagers, eh? They are lovely really but not great company, my three have decided that they are all going to the cinema together today Xmas Smile
